Beware of their deceitful tactics. I had negotiated an OTD price on a vehicle and after several back and forth emails the price I offered was accepted. I asked them to send me the purchase agreement so that I could get the check from my bank and be up to pick up the car. They emailed me a purchased agreement with a different price than what was agreed upon, I reached out to the Sales person and was told by her that she had noticed that and had been in contact with her manager so he could work the number and fix it, also all the while still agreeing with the price we had negotiated. The next thing that I get is a text from the sales person asking oh by the way, have you ever been in the military or law, because we can give you 500 more off the price. I let the sales person know that no military or law, and sales person replies on worries. I tell her need that purchase agreement getting down to the wire and the bank is going to close. Next text from Sales person, well with out the military or law discount the price will go up 500.00. I text sales person back and say wait how could that be, so your saying that you put in a discount with out know first if I qualified, how can you do that. That made no sense and seems that they were playing games and I will not give you 500 more. She simply texted me back saying. Ok sounds good. So beware of their hidden schemes.
We bought a car in the end of December from these guys. We were told if we did the Hyundai financing we'd get $7500 off of the price. We were also told by the first sales agent that he could throw in life time oil changes. The old saying, "sounds too good to be true" is fitting. When signing the final papers we were told we could get two years of oil changes with a required 7500 miles in between each.
The second sales agent we talked to told us that with the Hyundai financing (because we wanted to go through our credit union for a much lower interest rate. Rate through Hyundai with our "great credit" is 7.79%) we would get the first payment with no interest, just principle. Well just paid the first payments and $201.65 went to interest. I called and they're cutting me a check for the interest after I explained. Also they asked us to keep the financing for six months so they'd get their kickback from Hyundai but I don't think we will.
We were also told our car had remote start that could be used with the Bluelink app but, you guessed it, the app is useless for us and no remote start is installed on our car. Nor can we lock/unlock the doors or any of the other features. Just systems checks (transmission, engine, etc).
I was told when calling about the interest that the first agent had been let go. Great. Clearly they aren't training their sales agents as good as they should be as these "promises" could constitute a bait and switch.
Needless to say, I'll take "advantage" of the oil changes and car washes and if there happens to be a need for warranty work but we wont return to this dealership for another purchase.
Update
I changed my 2 stars to one star. Avoid these guys. They called again after receiving my review and said instead of cutting me a check for the interest (which THEIR sales agent told me wouldn't be applicable until the SECOND payment) they were going to hold it until six months down the road. The reason for this is to ensure they get their kickback from Hyundai for getting us to finance through them. If you're not familiar, Hyundai pays a "bonus" to the dealer for using their financing but it has to be in place for six months otherwise the dealer loses it.
Not only that but when I brought up the remote start, (which after talking to my wife was a huge selling point since she works outside) I was told there is no way for Hyundai to install one but maybe there is a third party option.
For a company that cares so much about their customers it sure looks to me like they are only watching our for their own best, financial interests."
And this bit is for you M. I will be contacting the Revdex.com, and the attorney general regarding these blatant "bait and switch" sales techniques. Probably Consumer Affairs as well.
Ben M called me about an hour or so after the second update to this review. He apologized for all the inconsistencies and made true on the things we were told so long as we keep the financing open through Hyundai for the six months. Which is fine because that is what we initially agreed to. The reason I kept a low rating is because when we turned the Santa Fe over to them to have Lynn's install an after market remote start (at a cost to M) they promised a shuttle right. They took me to work but I asked them to pick me up at 5:30 so I could get the car.
I called the dealership at 5:40 and asked if the shuttle was on the way and they said they weren't aware of any such request. Then about ten minutes later I received a phone call saying they got caught up on other shuttle rides and couldn't get to me.
I stand by my initial statement. I will not deal with them passed the oil changes, provided maintenance and needed warranty work.
These guys are unbelievable. Even after talking with the OWNER of the company, they'd rather try and paint a customer as a problem on social media instead of admitting they're wrong
Great car. Horrible experience.

I am writing this letter in regards to work done at Murdock Hyundai in Logan Utah. On approximately 6/5/2017 I had my vehicle, a 2008 Hyundai Veracruz, towed to 3131 N. Main St Logan Utah 84341, phone number .
The vehicle sustained a Leak within the radiator which was the original stock. When I visited the location where the car was, I brought up a recall for a leaked head gasket. In the past, I had scheduled an appointment to have it replaced. During that time frame, I had a gentleman call me and tell me he did not have the head gasket in stock and would call me back when it was available. He never did. At the time their was no leak but since I’d got a notification from Hyundai’s headquarters about the recall, I called to have it replaced. The gentleman never called me back and I called back, talking to a young lady who said she would make a note of it in my file and when the part came in, they’d call me. This was for a gasket. I never got a call.
At that time, I was pretty much done with Murdock Hyundai and figured I’d take the car to another dealership, even if it was in a neighboring state. My past dealing with them, the replacement of an internal door handle, ended with the disrepair of my automatic handle opening when I approached the car. When I came back and told the Service Advisor they broke the door while replacing the handle, he talked to the Mechanic who told him, it was broke when he repaired it. This was a lie, for if it was, why didn’t he recommend that being repaired when he replaced the internal door. He never did, because it was working when I brought the vehicle in. The door still locked with the push of the key and opened. This was the way to get into the car obviously. I was told it would cost 283 dollars to repair but I wasn’t paying for something that wasn’t broke when I brought it in. I was done with their irresponsible service at that time. Unfortunately the radiator broke within the radius of their dealership and I had no choice but to bring it to them. The service advisor, Rodolfo M assured me the recall along with the radiator would be repaired. In the back of my head, I was thinking, the head gasket was probably not in stock and it would take a while.
I got a call from Rodolfo telling me the Radiator had a crack and needed to be replaced, also they recommended the sway bars were replaced, an oil change was needed. Later I was told the thermostat was recommended to be replaced. I’d never had the thermostat replaced and figured since the Radiator was being replaced and hoses were disconnected, they recommended a new thermostat was needed, which would mean gasket was to be replaced also.
When I spoke to Rodolfo, I was always told the car would be ready at the end of the day, after the first time and the car not being ready, I figured this would take a while. Four days later I got the car back sounding a little rough and seeming warmer under the hood than I remembered.
I had to return to have the mechanic reset the XM satellite and he stated, it took him some time and tinkering to get it back. This took about 30 minutes of my time. After this last venture and returning home. I decided to look under the hood.
I noticed Screws missing that were there before. Some broken clips from connected to the double fan belt which were in the way of the radiator. I also noticed the Radiator had dents, through it was suppose to be a new product. This just brought my unreliable vision of service to the same conclusion as before.
Though the company charged me to have my thermostat replaced, they did not change either upper or lower hose for the radiator. These hoses were old and anyone with experience would have noticed they needed to be exchanged, in fact anyone with common sense would know that if you replaced a full radiator, you should replace the old hoses from the original radiator WHILE replacing the Thermostat.
Obviously the Upper Radiator hose sustained a leak and had to be replaced, and the Gasket for the thermostat has since leaked. And of course to top it all off, the gasket that was recalled, has leaked again and damaged the Alternator.
I called Murdock Hyundai and the Service Manager called me. Matt, left me two messages and I wrote him a detailed letter explaining my irritation with his crew. I delivered the letter and it was put on his desk by the receptionist who was there that evening. Matt, I was told had left.
Unfortunately I never heard back from Matt about the letter and the car has sat while I waited to discuss what was to be done. What I want is for the repairs to be completed correctly. Though I had to have the Radiator hoses replaced, I want said items to be corrected...again. I would prefer to have the vehicle repaired in Salt Lake and that’s just because my confidence in this location has withered. Perhaps the other location has more competent mechanics.
From the beginning, these workers have done nothing correctly, though leaving dishonestly and terrible service in the trail. I’ve always learned to never go back to a company that does not satisfy my services, but these things need to be corrected.
From my internal door being repaired and the automatic latch being rendered, though the mechanic said it was already broken, he never told the service advisor. The radiator being replaced, with markings on the coils, screws messing atop my grill, and broken brackets, with no recommendations to replace old hoses, though they recommended my thermostat be replaced, just shows the reckless and unreliable common sense needed when it comes to repairing a vehicle and making sure I don’t need to return for the same items.
I want it all fixed and I want it fixed correctly. They’re employees are incompetent. Upon my invoice it states: “Oil dirty. tires bad.sway bar links bad. AC DONT Work,” This was during their multi point vehicle inspection, but I was never told my AC didn’t work. The fact is, the AC is dual controlled in the car and the drivers side does not work because it needs a new actuator, but no one in service recommended that, though they stated the AC did not work. The AC works on the passenger's side, but not the Driver side.
This just shows me the level is diagnosis done. I am including said letter sent to Matt at Murdock Hyundai and I will send pictures of cat to you when you contact me with an email.
I took a test drive in a 2017 Santa Fe Sport 2.0T while I had my 2016 Hyundai Tucson in for serviced at Murdock Hyundai in North Logan, UT on 5/30/17. The sales person was Tyler Merrill at Murdock Hyundai who has advised me that he submitted $50 dollar test drive gift card coupon for redemption. I called Tyler after 4 weeks, 6 weeks, and after 8 weeks. I have not received the $50 gift card.
I have stop at Murdock Hyundai and talk with the sales manager still no $50 gift card.
