Service call placed 2+ weeks back. Owner and spouse keep calling and say service will be done soon but hasn't shown up yet
We approached Mt *** Heating & Cooling to repair PTAC units at our hotel. They agreed to come and look at it next day and quoted a service call fee that we agreed to. On day of service we got call from owner and his spouse that there was an emergency and they like to reschedule. This has been going on for over 2 weeks. They are not responding to calls anymore. We lost room revenue as we have been waiting for them to show up. We wanted to co-operate with them as they claimed some family emergency
They should provide a written explanation as to why they have left us high and dry after engaging for 2 weeks. If it's a genuine business enterprise they have to apologize and finish the job
This call occurred when we were totally booked for the week and couldn't respond to the call for a few days, which customer was told of. When this appointment was made earlier in the week we found out about a close family member, owner's brother, being admitted to Hospice. Within a week from that date owner's brother passed *** There were funeral arrangements that had to be made, that caused us to be out of town for awhile, which customer was told. When we returned back to town, we were headed over to customer to provide service to the customer, however truck's serpentine belt broke, we told customer about the situation, and we would call them when the truck was done, we also suggested they call someone else if they needed this to be done sooner. Customer didn't want to go that route. It took three days to have the truck repaired, however they wouldn't understand and kept calling the business to the point of harassment, (both the business and the owner). Before we could call customer that truck was finished being repaired, he said he was going to call the Revdex.com. We would have done the call, if customer would have just been patient and understanding of the circumstances. They were also told of the option of calling someone else to service the units if needed to be done sooner. Every call we made to customer, we apologized every time for the inconvenience. For the record our company never once stepped foot on this property in question. There was no service call started on property in question. Also for the record costumer has some other phone number listed besides ours.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Their response is a bunch of lies and baloney. I have already stated in my complaint that they claimed family emergency and transportation issues. This went on for 2+ weeks. They asked after 2 weeks to contact other provider which I refused. They then said they will come and look at it on 6/1 or 6/2 or latest by 6/3 (Monday). Since I did not hear back I called them on 6/4 - they stopped answering calls on 6/4 and that's when I filed complaint.
This is defamation of character. We couldn't do any work for this person during this time mainly because of the owner's brother's passing, as stated previously. We did suggest for him to call someone else if needed to be done sooner, as previously stated. Our records show the last time this person was scheduled was 6/4/2019, which is when van broke down. We called and told this to customer, as previously stated. We would of had no problem doing this service call at a later date, however with this person's character assassination of our company, we would find it difficult to do any service call because of false statements and ratings regarding our company. How can you rate a company who has never done any work for you? If this harassment and defamation of character of our company continues, it could result in contacting our attorney for harassment and defamation of character.
