Review: My debit card was used to fraudulently open an online account and purchase item from this merchant on Dec **, 2015. Transaction was reported to my bank immediately and my debit account was backcharged since I have zero liability for fraud. The bank also cancelled my debit card and issued a new card with new number. The bank also informed me that they are conducting further investigation with regards to the transaction. Now MSC Industrial is harassing me to pay for the item that was never delivered to my address and threatening to take action against me should I fail to remit payment. I already sent them a letter explaining the situation which they ignored.
Thank you in advance for your assistance in resolving this issue with the companyDesired Settlement: That MSC Direct stop harassing me for payment of item or items that I did not initiate nor did receive and to stop threatening action against me.. Instead they should coordinate with the bank or the authorities to further investigate this matter so they may avoid future incidents such as this.

Response:
An order was placed on our website ([redacted]) using a credit card that the card holder subsequently reported as fraudulent. The card holder was receiving dunning letters that are automatically generated in our system until we were notified that the transaction was fraudulent. Once we received this notification we stopped the dunning letters from being generated. MSC acknowledges that the card holder is not responsible for this transaction in the amount $136.68. The card holder will not receive any further communication from MSC.
