I am attaching a response that we made to this complaint to Attorney General of Washington on November 8th, All items were sold and accounted for This seller was unhappy with the result and demanded that we return items All items were sold so no items were returned Lawrence C M [redacted] MBA Seattle Auction
Hello, We have already responded to this complaint. All items were sold. I hung up on the seller when she was yelling at me over the phone. The items referred to by the seller were low value items that we normally lump together into selling lots. All items were sold and the seller was paid. Lawrence C M [redacted]
Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
The response from the business contains incorrect information. On the statement that I received for the sale of some of my items, the grouped items were listed with specifications including content and number of pieces. The missing items were not included in this listing. If they had actually been part of a group, they would have been listed on the statement.
Additionally, I did not yell at all in my conversation with Larry M[redacted]. I have a recording of this conversation as proof. He simply did not like what I had to say and did not have any documentation or proof to back up his false claim that my items were sold in groups. Therefore, he responded in a very unprofessional manner and deliberately hung up on me.
My items remain unaccounted for with no recompense to me as the owner. Sincerely,[redacted]
Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:Eighteen of the items I left on consignment are yet unaccounted for as to sale and price. The auction result statement that I received from MBA Auctions lists very specific items that were sold and does not include 18 of the items that I left in their care for the purpose of selling at auction.
The company's response seems to indicate that I was complaining about price attained during auction, but my complaint has always been that a large quantity of my belongings are missing. It is unprofessional and quite shady to just state that they were sold after providing a written accounting for the other items. In my view, this is equivalent to theft.
Mr. M[redacted] also incorrectly stated that I refused a refund of the commission. I did not refuse but continued to ask about the missing items. That is when he hung up on me and ended any possible resolution of this matter without outside intervention. Sincerely,[redacted]
