Fast Response, Professional Technician. My issue was the $59.00 trip fee to get quote of $345.70 to clean a drain when they should have been able to give me the quote over the phone. I declined service as we've had it done 4 years prior for $95. Called back the prior company who will be out tomorrow to do the same job for $125.00
Thank you for providing us your feedback and my apologies that we were not able to meet your expectations. We are a full service plumbing company that specializes only in plumbing and drains and we are a licensed, bonded, and insured company.
We hire and train highly qualified service professionals who arrive at our customers' homes timely and ready to do the job. We provide up-front pricing that is based on the job at hand so our customers know the cost ahead of any work and pay by the job not by the hour.
We recognize that our prices are higher than some companies but not as much as others. This includes our dispatch fee. One thing that sets us apart from many of the other companies is that we credit the full amount of the dispatch fee towards any work done.
We hope the other company that you hired was able to solve your drain issue and that you were fully satisfied with their work.
I hired mr rooter to clear a cloged kitchen drain in the process of their service they knocked holes in my basement pipes which cased sludg and water to flood my basement I contacted them after said damage the tech returned and stated he was not responsible for any damage from said service we were never made aware of this before said service was performed if I would have known that I never would've hired them on his return he left paperwork on my dryer in the basement stating no responsibility then a rep from mr rooter contacted me and offered me a discount but I never received it I feel 265.35 is to much to pay for a service which cost me day's off work and the labor it took me to clean up the mess they also tried to blame me for the problem the tech that returned treated me like a child so did the office people I spoke to at their office we are not after nothing for free they did ultimately unclog our drain but I feel that the other problems they caused and the lies they told they should have to answer for I would appreciate your support in this matter thank you for your help
Mr Rooter went out to the *** residence twice. First time was to unclog a drain, second was to inspect for a hole puncture. We presented the to the customer a price, and our contract BEFORE doing any work. You'll see, in our contract that the ***'s signed, (see attached) it is stated that if we break a pipe while cabling or working on, we are not responsible. "I hereby agree that while performing services, it is possible that equipment may become stuck in pipes, the pipes may break or water may flow back from the pipes." The customer stated he was using caustic chemicals before calling us out. (drano or Liquid Plumber type of product). These eat away at pipes, and is the #1 reason we have that clause in our contract. When we went out the second time, the ***'s were told that we can fix it, but they are responsible for the cost. At that time, the ***'s called into the office and we told them the same thing.
I am rejecting this response because:
For reasons I indicated in my complaint
January 30 2019, I hired Mr. Rooter Plumbing (MRP) to come out to fix a backed-up drain in my laundry room. Sewer water was backing-up when washing clothes and when the upstairs kitchen sink was used. I've had MRP come out before to do the same job. They did a good job, and were paid. THIS TIME, it was entirely the opposite! MRP Tech, Rob ***, was asked to fix the Laundry room drain that he was shown by me. He gave me a price of $254, incldg a coupon. He then asked me to sign his tablet for the work to be done (it only showed the box to sign), nothing to read. Rob went to his truck and came back with a hand-held machine. Neither my cousin or I went downstairs while Rob was working. An hour later Rob came upstairs saying, he had good and bad news: good news was the drain was still slowly draining; Bad news was while drilling into the pipe he broke off part of the drill and couldn't get it out. He wanted me to pay the full invoice and I refused, and told him to go call his manager to determine what to do, and how to fix "MPR's" created problem! Their solution was for me to pay the $254 AND another $460 to remove THEIR DRILL PIECE, again I refused to pay! Why would I pay for a SERVICE NOT PROVIDED, and a NEW PROBLEM MPR CAUSED? I paid him half $127 (FOR NOTHING), and tipped Rob $20 for trying to get a fair resolution. The next morning we found ANOTHER basement room full of water coming from under the bathroom toilet and out of the bowl, FROM ANYWHERE water was used in the whole house. I called and spoke to Mgr Tony, who said they were aware of the problem and were sending another Tech out, but it would COST ME. I told him I wasn't paying for a JOB NOT DONE & A PROBLEM THEY CAUSED! They had us waiting and no one came, when I called they NOTED they spoke to me and I agreed for them to come the next day - NOT TRUE! The following day I got a VM from MRP saying they WOULD NOT COME BACK until I paid the balance of $127+. WE STILL HAVE NO USE OF WATER 1/30 - 2/9!
The file named *** is the invoice, work authorization and payment signatures.
The file named *** is the screen our customers see before signing ANYTHING.
We offered to come back out to the Mrs. issue, but it is our policy that we must not have a balance on the account. When I tried to explain this to Mrs., she repeatedly yelled at me that she's not paying for anything. It was explained to her before signing the contract, that if she doesn't agree with any of the items presented to her, she can send our technician away at ZERO cost to her. She signed the contract anyway, and unfortunately the worst case scenario happened.
Please let me know if you need anything else from me. So sorry again for the late emails!
Tony ***
Mr. Rooter Plumbing
Our service man was great placing our new water heater in when we needed it. However the price was a Huge knock in the face. They charged over $1200 for labor cost over the price of the water heater.
Many other plumbers/ contractors and handymen have told us they would have charged no more than $1800 or less depending on the price of the water heater.
We were scammed and were in need of a water heater with , at the time no time to get anyone else out, water damage to basement twice now is enough.
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback for the services provided. We would like to point out a couple of items. Our technician came out to your home and provided you an estimate at no charge and you had no obligation to go forward with the work. Although the appointment was scheduled and completed on a holiday weekend, we do not charge a premium for nights, weekends, or holidays so the estimate presented to you was the same as if it were a normal business day.
The estimate was priced fairly for the work required and was based on the job at hand which included a fair amount of work above and beyond a 'standard' water heater installation. As the water heater was installed in a tight area behind the water softener, additional work was required to remove the softener before the installation and then reinstall the softener after the water heater was installed. Further, the estimate included the addition of valves and the permit that was required.
The response was nice , timing was good. Way over priced from many other plumbers in neighborhood they wouldn’t have charged over 1,500 just to install. A new water heater cost is under $800. No installation fee is $1500. *** will never mention this company again and or use it. Our money back guarantee should’ve im transition for at least 1,000. No technician or time spent should have exceeded what it did. We had to have it done or our pipes would have froZe with our heat.
You need to comply if you want to keep customers, you are over priced for installation no matter what .
Guaranteed satisfaction is in your website and cards.
Reimbursement is a must, $1,000.
