Mr Lustre Car wash in Hamburg, NY closed in December 2019 and another business was taking over after remodeling. We have 8 Plus and one basic wash tickets purchased that we could not use before they closed. The new company took our names for reimbursement but we have not heard from them.
Is there anything you can do to help us recover our money for these tickets or are we out of luck?

Mr. Lustre discontinued selling pass books and gift certificates on June 1, 2019 and closed the business in mid-September. The property was sold at the end of September. The new owner re-opened the car wash a week after purchasing the property and planned to close for remodeling at the end of November.
To allow customers more time to redeem pass books and gift certificates, Mr. Lustre reimbursed the new owner (One-Stop Wash) for all passes they redeemed during October and November. They indicated that they would be exchanging passes that customers presented for their own services when they reopened. Since they took the customers' name and number, the customer should contact them when they open for an exchange. Ronald Kanehl

They still have not reopened to my knowledge as of May. I will follow up when they finally reopen.
