I took my car for a complete detail on 3/15 with a concentration on getting rid of the makeup stains on the inside. When I got my car back I noticed two rims were discolored but I thought it was just tire dressing that wasn't wiped off and it would just rinse off. No big deal. The girl did a great job on the inside so I tipped her $10. Two weeks later when rinsing the pollen off the car is when I noticed the rims weren't coming clean and brought it to the owners attention. Looking back I should have said something before I left but like I say I thought it would rinse off, so if I noticed it before I left I'm sure the girl noticed when they didn't wipe clean before I got to car back. The cost to fix it was $250, the owner agreed to pay $125 and I pay $125 but because I wasn't the one who messed them up I refused to pay to have it corrected. My rims weren't like that when I brought my car there, so why would I have to pay? Not that it matters to them but I will not be back and will not recommend anyone I know. Ramona E.
In response to this complaint I would just first of all like to say that this is really an insult to say we messed up 2 of the rims. We have been Detailing cars for 24 years and we have ince 17 years ago
In response to this complaint I would just first of all like to say that this is really an insult to say we messed up 2 of the rims. We have been Detailing cars for 24 years and have never had this problem. We know exactly what and what not to use on all parts of a vehicle. That's our specialty! There's no way we would put anything on them that could damage them.
Second of all, we use degreaser which I mix with water in a big drum and then we use a pump jug to spray it on the tires. We use the same routine all day every day with no problems. There's no way that degreaser can damage a rim. Believe me, if it could in any way possible damage it, we wouldn't be using it. Also, the same degreaser was used on all 4 wheels so why would only 2 get messed up?
Third of all, Ms. said the vehicle was perfect when she left my shop. She didn't tip $10 as she stated, but she tipped $20. We all walked around the vehicle and she had no complaints at all! When she left the shop those rims were not like that and if they were we would have handled the situation immediately. There's no way we would have let her leave without acknowledging that there was a problem...but there was no problem. The vehicle was perfect which she said out of her own mouth.
If you notice the time frame for when she got the vehicle detailed (3/15) and the date of the complaint (4/13), anything could have happened in between that time. I would have had no problem paying the $250 if in fact we damaged them. I also need to mention that when Ms. first brought the vehicle in with the complaint (which was the week of 4/6), it had been washed. When I asked her about it, she said that her sons father washed it. So how do I know he didn't mess them up and is trying to get them fixed for free. The vehicle was cleaned by us on 3/15. She did not say anything about the situation until the week of 4/6 after her son's father washed it which raises a red flag. Then on the day of this review her sons father came by and agreed that it wasn't handled properly. He stood around laughing and talking with us for at least 45 minutes. I did agree to pay half of the cost just to be nice and he had no problem with that. I'm sure it's because he knows we didn't damage them to begin with.
Last but not least, given the fact that Ms. works directly across the street, I'm sure I can WALK over to her place of employment in 1 minute so why would she come 2 1/2 weeks later claiming we damaged her rims??? Especially, when she passes by everyday for work. Even if she didn't come by, she definitely should have called or something.
She's misrepresenting us and what we stand for! I don't appreciate it! Most of our customer actually think we know magic lol We really love to see our customers happy when they leave.
First off, I know how much I tipped and it was $10. I've had my car for 8 years and never had a problem with a detail until I took it to Mr. B's. No one walked around the car to inspect it after it was done as she stated. I did inspect the inside to see if the stains were removed, they were and I was pleased with that. As stated before I noticed the rims were discolored but thought it was some type of tire dressing therefore I didn't mention it at that time. I came back to your shop two weeks later and showed you the rims and at that time you took my name and number and said you would call me back, which you didn't! That's why my "daughters" father came out there and he did not wash my car he just rinsed off the pollen. Trust me if he or I messed up the rims I would have gladly taken you up on your offer to pay half for our mistake! It was your fault that's why I refused the offer. It doesn't matter how long you've been in business you can still make mistakes. I'm not one of them customers like you said that try's to get over which leads me to believe there has been other issues. Lesson learned. Some places you just can't support!
Well Ms., we can go back and forth probably for the rest of 2020 and still not come to an agreement. I believe life is about choices and given the situation, we both made choices.
I always look for solutions because I really don't carry situations around with me in my heart. I always try to think of the best resolution to any situation that I'm faced with. I have a business to run and if at anytime there's an issue I do my best to get to the bottom of it, right away!
This situation has basically put me in the position to be the judge and make the best choice based on the facts. Anyone reading this I'm sure would have reasonable doubt. The facts that I had based my decision off of were:
1. We didn't use any chemical on your rims that could have caused this.
2 Neither of us saw this before you left. The damage was done to the driver side rims. You nor us could have missed this if it was their before you left.
3. The amount of time between when your vehicle was detailed and when you made a claim about it (3/15- the week of 4/6)
4. By your own admission, you should have brought this to our attention immediately! If not that day, at least within the week. You literally work across the street! Even if you couldn't come by a call would have been sufficient.
5. You tipped and said it was perfect before you left after checking your vehicle.
6. The car had been recently been cleaned again before you brought the car back making the claim.
I offer a service and my customers' satisfaction matters to me. As you can see, in all of the time we've been in business we have not had a negative Revdex.com review. Anyone in business knows there will at times be an unsatisfied customer. Sometimes one of the employees will miss something (didn't wipe inside down good, missed a spot on the seat, etc). Some customers will go make a review and some will bring it to our attention and we fix the issue right away.
You can't logically believe that I would give you $250 to get some rims fixed when you're bringing the vehicle back more than 2 weeks later. That's like me slipping in some water at your job. I come on in handle my business never mentioning that I fell but then come back over 2 weeks later giving you a doctor bill. First of all, I should have brought it to someones attention at the time of the incident and handled things the right way.
Anyway, I will still despite any of this agree to pay half of the damages although I know it didn't happen here.
You're right! Lesson learned. All business is not good business! We have hundreds of loyal customers whom we appreciate dearly. We didn't get this far by messing up customers cars. We have to be doing something right!
I really don't care to continue going back and forth. It's childish and it will never get anything resolved. If the main point of this is to get the rims fixed as I mentioned I am willing to meet you half way. You know where I am and how to contact me. Otherwise, I'm signing off. God Bless You!!!
