I have had a horrific time dealing with this company. This was my 5th time using them; the first four times were acceptable, as I was just moving small amounts of belongings to donation facilities. The men were kind and hardworking, so I considered them for my actual 3 bedroom home move. I clearly told Tom, the business owner, and only one who consumers can actually speak with, that I needed to move all my belongings into storage while I waited 2 months until I could move into my new place.
The move took 14 hours, with a lot of hard work. I was only allowed to pay cash. I bought the workers lunch, paid them for the full 14 hours including lunch break at $275 an hour. I set aside all of the items I needed to work and live for the next two months, and told the lead mover to make sure none of those were packed. He agreed, and I proceeded to help in another room. Once everything was in storage, I realized they did not set the items aside, and I was left unable to work, with no clothes or necessities for the next two months.
I had to take 2 days off work. I called Tom, told him I told them to set those aside, and he told me it wasn't his problem; there was nothing he could do. I told him the issue is that the other guys could not understand English, so there was a clear communication problem, and he should have people working who can communicate with their customers. He then stated "this conversation is over. You are being discriminatory." He HUNG UP ON ME.
When I called back in absolute outrage and incredulous, he hung up on me again. He then stopped answering the phone. The head driver called me an hour later and said he was being yelled at, so he would come by. He came at 7:30 to the storage unit (I had 2 units, on 10x20, one 10x 15). They were both packed top to bottom, front to back, so I had no way to just walk around. He charged me $200 to find my laptops, nothing else. Now, 2 months later, moving into the new place, they damaged SO much from the horrible stacking job in the storage unit
