Good afternoon . This purchase was made on July 3rd - the fragile piece was taken to Edmonton to be crated by custom crating . We offered to pay for crating and shipping , there is no duty on original art being shipped from Canada to the US , and GST is not charged when going out of the...
country . We however have no control over entrance fees charged by different states in the US . Mountain Galleries paid $260 for Crating and another $580.-- for shipping and this was a gift to the client . The $35.00 was a fedex trade network admin fee. Our sales agreement that [redacted], ( Mr. [redacted] signed clearly states that we entrance fees will be billed directly to the client .That being said , I saw the emails from Mr. [redacted] requesting a refund of $35.00 US and asked that my team make sure they did the refund. It was a misunderstanding with the client and we want above all else to make sure our clients are happy with their purchase. I will check with my accountant. I know the refund request was made and will email Mr. [redacted] today. This is the first time in 40 years that we have had a complaint from " The Revdex.com " I was very disappointed to see this.RegardsWendy W[redacted] - Owner Director of Mountain Galleries at the Fairmont
Dear [redacted] ,Re: [redacted] Dated July 1st 2016 - And your complaint ID [redacted] to the Revdex.comWe sincerely thought that the matter of the $35.00US fee that you were charged was settled. I am confused . Have you paid the $35.00 fee that [redacted] ground net works is asking for ? From the Revdex.com communication I take it that you would like us to refund amount directly to you.We have not control over this type of small admin fee.Mountain Galleries gave you 10% of the retail price of the sculpture as well as paid for the crating and shipping ( which included an 8 hour round trip into Edmonton ) Making a sincere effort to give you the best possible service On the sales agreement it clearly states that any entrance feeswill be billed directly to the client . Not all states in the US are allowed to charge an admin fee , apparently where you live does. Here is a copy of the clause on the sales agreement :
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Sincerely,
