Review: In the original contract with Motivational Press it was stated that my book would be listed with the wholesaler, [redacted] & [redacted]. My book title was never listed with this company. The "Pre-Publishing Package" I purchased stated that there would be an "Exclusive Manuscript Review" by Motivational Press staff. Upon receiving the copy for my review, FORTY-TWO errors in the layout and design were found. It was also stated that this package included "Marketing and Promotional Opportunities" to be provided by Motivational Press. One time [redacted] e-mailed me just before an event in Southern California (I reside in Northern California) and asked if I could attend. There was no way I could pull together a presentation, pay a last minute airfare, cancel patients and get to the venue with just a few days notice. That is the one and only Marketing and Promotion I ever received. I also purchased a "Publishing and Distribution Package" For this package I was promised that my book would be listed on several different sites. However, my book never at anytime appeared on three of the different sites that were stated in the package I paid for. I have never received any royalties for the books that were sold through Motivational Press, as promised in the contract I signed. I asked for an accounting of the books that were sold on seven different occasions. Finally, after 4 months of asking for an accounting, I received a vague email stating that I had sold some books and that I would receive a check at the end of the third quarter 2013. To date I have not received any money for the books that were sold.Desired Settlement: I would like to get paid for the books I sold. I would like to get my money back for the Publishing and Distribution Package in the amount of $1802.00.
