I took my vehicle to Mr. Transmission in November 2012 to get it repaired after an accident that occurred. My insurance company covered the damages on my vehicle at that time. The insurance adjuster gave me paperwork stating that [redacted] my insurance company found a used transmission at [redacted] auto savage and paid Mr. Transmission to put it into my car. [redacted] also promised me a lifetime warranty on this transmission. This transmission only had 51K miles on it according to the paperwork. About two weeks ago my car stopped while I was heading home and would not go into drive. I had my car towed to the nearest dealership and they took a look at it and stated that something is wrong inside of my transmission. I contacted [redacted] and informed them that I am having a problem with this transmission again being that I have a lifetime warranty on it I want them to check it out. The insurance adjuster gave me a call the next day and informed me that the transmission that they paid Mr. Transmission to put in was not installed. They found this out by calling [redacted] who informed him that Mr. transmission told them to take the transmission back when the tried to deliver it. I have been calling Mr. transmission for two weeks now to get a copy of the service receipt so that I can figure out what they actually did to my transmission. When I call to speak to the manager [redacted] they person answering states that he is not in and when I ask for a copy of the receipt he states that they are looking for it and he has a nasty attitude with me. This is uncalled for. This makes me think they have something to hide. It has been two weeks and I am inconvenienced without a vehicle. All I asked for is a copy of the receipt and it seems that I cannot get it for some reason. I have paperwork from the insurance company that states they paid Mr. Transmission almost $3,000 to put the [redacted] transmission in my car. This did not happen so I am wondering what did they actually do to my car. I asked the guy that answered the phone where did he get the transmission from and he wouldn't tell me. I feel as if they took the money, installed something just to last me a while driving. Just a rip off. I need a copy of the service receipt so I can determine how to handle this situation with the insurance company. Even the [redacted] insurance agent thinks this is suspicious. Desired SettlementMy car is not drivable so I am asking that Mr. Transmission pay for the repairs that need to be done to my vehicle. I do not feel comfortable taking it back to them to fix being that they have an attitude because I am exposing them. My car is at the [redacted] dealership, and I want them to fix it and Mr. Transmission pay the costs. Business Response As I look at the invoice the warranty expires on May 2013 .The warranty was a 6 month of 6000 miles as what is on her invoice . This repair was done two years ago . The manager name was at the time [redacted] . He has not work here in over a year . And yes it was a used transmission and two axles with lobor and sales taxs . We are sorry you are having a problem . My understanding we try to sell her a rebuild transmission but they said no . Thie is way we do not like to install a used transmission they never last . If the customer has not have a copy of the invoice she need to come by and we will give her one . Thank you Manager Mr.Transmission Consumer Response At this point it doesn't matter who the manager was when the work was done, all I asked for is a receipt of the repair and not a hassle, which is what I have been receiving. All I know is that the transmission was warranted by [redacted] but the issue is [redacted] wrote Mr. Transmission a check for a used transmission from [redacted] which is not what Mr. Transmission put in my car. I do not understand how a company can install something that was never autorized by [redacted] or myself to do. To me that is repair fraud. At this point my car is broke down and is sitting at the [redacted] dealership. They informed me that they tried calling Mr. Transmission as assistance to me and got a rude responses as well. The [redacted] dealership service department has taken a look at my car and informed me that when my transmission was so called "repaired" the axle in the transmission was not screwed in properly with the bolts and therefore it caused the axle to come a loose. One more thing to add is that I knew something was shady about this company when we picked up my car and all my change from my change box in my car was missing. After informing Mr. Transmission of this, of course nothing was done. I do not feel that I am responsible for this and my next step is taking this to legal action with the court to recover the money that I am forced to pay out due to the lack of proper installation of my transmission and the fact that [redacted] warranted the repairs but due to "repair" fraud by Mr. Transmission I and stuck holding the bag. This is not fair or correct.Final Business Response We are talking about a job that was done two years ago . If the axles was not install right you would have had a problem with in a few days after the repair . Their is no warranty on the transmission or labor at this time . I am sorry you war have problems But it not because of Mr.Transmission work . [redacted] sould have let Mr. Transmission rebuild the transmission that was in the car. But all they would pay for was a used transmission and with a used transmission you never know what you are getting because its used . And if you want a copy of the repair order you can come by and paick one up of I fax it to you . Thank you Mr.Transmission .
