I arrived approximately 7pm on February 21, 2020 to the Motel 6 Near Lackland AFB. proceeded to check in to the motel and the lady at the desk was courteous.
She did inform please lock your door there have been reported break ins recently.
The first room I was assigned was room 113: “The door did not unlock”
went back to the office informed the desk they reassigned me a new room 214: “The A/C did not turn on and next door room occupants were screaming and yelling sexually profanities”
went back to the office the girl at the desk assigned me room 218: “The A/C worked for approximately 10 seconds and kept turning off.”
At this point I was frustrated by the disrepair of the Motel and rooms and went back to the office to ask for a full refund. I had driven 6 hours from Dallas and just wanted to get my refund and go to another hotel.
The clerk then told me she would process the full refund and ask me to call expedia.com(hotels.com) and tell them what happened they would call her and she could process the full refund.
Then the night manage came in telling me I had to wait till the morning manager comes in before we process the refund.
My wife and I leave and I get a call from the motel 6 front Desk telling me they have a picture of me taking a pillow from the room. Which I had brought 3 pillows orthopedic pillows for my neck into the room thinking I was going to stay.
So I am assuming they saw me bring my own pillows out of the room and accused me of stealing the Motel 6 pillow.
The Morning manager did not verify how many pillows in the room or check the surveillance camera of me walking in with my pillows.

Called the next morning, February 22, 2020 around 930am the morning manager refused to refund my money and charged me for another day so three days total.
This is very disheartening traveling over 6 hours to motel 6 your rooms are in disrepair and I get accused of stealing without even checking the evidence before accusing me of being a theif.

We went to see our son graduate basic training. The website to Red Roof Inn, is not and does not accurately depict what this hotel/motel really looks like. It is dangerous, wires everywhere, hanging from the pool area, no latch on pool, unsanitary conditions for pool (pool pump broken and the pool pump locked area wide open for children to get into), the latch to the entrance of the pool does not work - dangerous for parents with small children. Dirty pool area with glass table broken and beer cans and trash all over. Bathtubs unsanitary. Vomit on walls, dirt in and behind the toilet area, floors unclean, lights not properly working, vomit on the walls. This was the worst place and the advertisement for this hotel/motel was and is deceitful and a lie. The entire building should be condemned!

We sincerely apologized to all of our guests upon arrival/check-in for the pool not being accessible on or around 6/21/18, which also including a sign which was posted a few places around the property. due to our inconvenience, we had a cleaning professional come out to the property to attend to cleaning our pool - since we had chemicals in the pool, we were advised to notify our guest that they were unable to use the pool. She had an option before concluding her stay that she was able to cancel her reservation with a FULL refund, but she decided to stay. She didn't make any complaints until her 2nd night here. When the Front Desk agent called her room within 30minutes upon her receiving the key, she told the GSR everything was perfectly fine.

Due to our inconvenience, we also granted her one free night.

I am rejecting this response because:

This individual is a liar. One, they NEVER CALLED ME. Two, I complained the very First night we arrived, it was very late when we went in. They tried to give us a different room, and they WERE ALL terrible. Attached are the photographs that they provided to a website, and attached also are the reality pictures. I NEVER received a phone call and THEY knew that we were going to see my son graduate BASIC TRAINING for the United States Air Force. They had my cell phone number, however, they refused to call that number as I was told would be called. I did NOT enjoy the stay, we also woke up with bed bug bites. And this is not just about a "Pool" See all of the nasty, unsanitary photographs of the filth we had to stay in, and in addition, this hotel REFUSED to give me a refund so that I could go to a different hotel. I have the email from Travelocity!!! I reject her lies and think that they committed fraud and misrepresented their hotel! This should NEVER be allowed to trick unsuspecting people into staying at a gross hotel, and then be lied to and then still lie!!! She is NOT telling the truth and someone should do something about this deceit.

She is a liar, and I can only pray that what I have attached proves her lies. She did not call me, they had my cell phone number, we thought we were not going to get a refund. I felt as though we were forced to stay, this was not right, on so many levels.

I attended an international function Saturday at the *** in San Antonio. I am from Rocksprings, Texas about 3 hours northwest of San Antonio. Previous to the function I went online to pick a hotel for Saturday night. I found the Lackland Red Roof Inn that was in close proximity to my function. My wife and I arrived at the hotel at approximately 5:00 pm. We were given the key card to upstairs room 220. To our dismay the room hadn’t been cleaned and the lavatory faucet wouldn’t shut off. I complained to the cashier and she accompanied us back to our room. She said she was sorry and asked us to look at the room next door. We looked at room 221, which hadn’t been cleaned either. She suggested we look at the next room 222. This room was somewhat better but not to our satisfaction. After a few minutes I found black mold around the bathtub and window. The hot and cold water on the faucet were switched. The television was stuck on one channel. I tried to call the front desk, but the phone didn’t work or they wouldn’t answer. I attempted to call on my cell phone and there was no answer. I walked back to the front desk. The young lady was eating a few feet away in a kitchen area and she ignored me for several minutes. Finally she asked me what was wrong and I told her. She accompanied me back to my room and she couldn’t make the television change channels either. She went and got a non-English speaking man, who brought four more remotes. After 10 minutes he couldn’t make the television change channels. He went to report to the office and the young lady came back and said she would put in s smart television and then after we came back from dinner she would come back and teach me how to use it. I pointed out to her the dust all over the back of the television and desk below. We arrived back about 8:30 pm, I was unable to open the door with either key card. I returned to the office and she reprogramed the cards. I went back to the room and was unable to get in. I returned to the office and told the young lady I wanted a refund that I was leaving. She was apologetic and told me not to leave she could fix everything. The young lady returned to the room with me and the key cards still wouldn’t open the room. She used her master key card and let us in. She took the cards back and reprogramed them again and told me to not put them near my cell phone. We went in and maintenance had set a television in front of the existing one. I noticed that they had dusted the old television, but it only received approximately 8 of the 30 channels on the menu.
The bed spreads and pillow cases were wrinkled and stained, but appeared to be clean. The directions on the air conditioner were long since wiped off so we had to experiment to find the right setting. I tried to call the front desk, but couldn’t get them to answer their phone or my cell phone.

I went to get some drinks. The drink machine, with a limited selection and only working with a credit cards, was approximately 200 feet from the ice machine in a dark room with no light on the other side of a dirty pool with cans laying around on the sitting area. As I returned I noticed the parking area hadn’t been cleaned. It was covered in leaves and there next to the office was a wrecked van with a tarp partially covering it.

I am a retired deputy sheriff and I felt unsafe in this hotel with my weapon. The people sitting around outside their rooms drinking were of questionable character.

We were misled by the website. This is an old hotel poorly kept by unqualified maintenance personnel. Having been in the service I know about hotels close to military facilities. I believe this is one of those hotels with ladies of ill repute and illegal drugs.

I believe the sheriff’s department, media and Revdex.com should be notified of what is going on in this hotel. For them to put newly remodeled on their website is false advertising. The pictures are all nice pictures. Must have been photo shopped.
