Mr. wrote a detailed contract. Per the contract half of the labor would be up front, 50% of the remaining balance due in six weeks had the project not been completed by then. At the 6 week mark, we, again, contacted Mr. to ger the material cleaned up by the holidays. We were assured it would be. This didn't happen. He did, however purchase supplies at Home Depot and was at the house to receive them when they were delivered. After checking the receipt against the material in the yard, not all of the items were there. Mr. said Home Depot was planning to deliver the remaining material and that he would call the. I called them myself, and was assured the entire order was delivered. December 29, 2019, there had been no additional work done to the shop, and the debris still covered the back yard. (It is worth mentioning we do have a dog who had to spend all these days inside in anticipation of Mr. coming to clean the debris, instead of playing outside) At this point, after over 2 months, another contractor was called in to take over the mess Mr. had created.
