This office lied about trying to contact me about my bill and then refused to work with me when I told them what I could pay. I don't have health insurance and I was admitted into the hospital with a life-threatening condition and needed to have emergency surgery. After the surgery, I got about 6 different bills from different agencies who all wanted money within a month or so. My debt was piling up to be over 38,000 dollars. I got Mosaic's bill on 04/08/14. Low and behold, their due date was 04/07/14. I made a payment the very next day on 04/09/14 and that payment showed to be clear on 04/11/14. For the next month or so, I heard nothing. No calls, no more statements. I tried calling their number but could never get out of being on hold waiting for a live person as this was a 1-855 number. On 05/20/14, I was getting antsy because I had heard nothing from them so I was going to make another payment. On my account on their website, I find that my account balance is now 0.00. I'm completely confused and try to dig around for answers. I find out that the payment I had previously made didn't post from them until 04/26/14 and that on 05/05/14, my account was sent into collections.I called them on 05/21/14 and surprisingly got someone on the phone who told me they no longer had my account. I explained the facts that I had and was told that they had tried calling me and had mailed me letters which is a lie. They then told me that if I could pay them 153.75 a month, they could get it back from collections. I told them that there was absolutely no way way I could pay them that much when I have 5 other offices wanting payment every month as well. The hospital itself is willing to accept 25 dollars a month and they are my largest bill. They told me that I would then have to make a payment arrangement with the collection agency because there was nothing they can do. I understand it is a business's prerogative what they want to accept. But if you can pull it out of collections for 153.75 a month, you can pull it out for less. But it's the fact that they lied about trying to contact me about my bill and how the bill itself has account conditions up to 120 days. Yet my account was sent to collections 56 days after their statement date of 03/10/14 and 27 days after I got their statement on 04/08/14. I have excellent credit. My [redacted] credit score is [redacted] and [redacted] rates me at [redacted] But now because of this one office, it's going to plummet. All for a debt of $[redacted] dollars for the anesthesiologist's services for my emergency [redacted] surgery. My account number was LXXXXXXXXX and the girl I spoke to on the phone didn't give me her name. But she was kind of enough to call me back with the number to the collection agency I'd been sold to. I will take this up with them. Desired SettlementTake my account back from collections and let me pay them what I can pay.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXXXXXXXXXContact Email: [redacted].comWe are very sorry the patient has had this experience it most certainly is not our desire. We recently outsourced our anesthesia billing beginning March 1, 2014. There have been a few issues. This is first of this type brought to our attention. Thank You!! We will be sharing this with our representative. We will get this resolved so it does not happen again.First the account has not been turned over to a collection agency as of today 05/29/2014. It will be turned over to an agency that works with our patients to develop a payment plan that fits their budget. The patient may call our office and discuss it with me or our Office Manager.Again, thank you for taking the time to share.
I just checked my credit report and have 2 bills from Mosaic showing as in collections. I have never received any anesthesia or gotten a bill.I have never received services from this business. I have had no surgery and do not understand why this is showing up on my credit report. I have never received any bills from them nor have I been contacted by the collections agency as shown in my credit report. Desired SettlementImmediate removal from my credit report and a letter to [redacted] stating that this is an error on the part of Mosaic Anesthesia Associates. Business Response This was resolved with the person by phone.
