Morning Call Coffee Stand Inc

Review: I attended a Mardi Gras parade on March 3, 2014 in Metairie, LA. It was very cold that night and I sent my older children around the corner from where we were standing to get 10 hot chocolates. The Morning Call on Severn uses a 12 ounce cup for to go coffees and hot chocolate. They charged them 2.00 for 6 ounces (half cup) for the hot chocolate. After they rung the order up, the server or manager in this transaction told my son that they also charge a service fee and then asked for $40. The sign in morning call reads coffee, hot chocolate, orange juice, milk and cafe au laite $1.85. Now the simple math would have been $30 for 10 half cups of hot chocolate and a $10 service fee. At 1.85 it should have been $18.50. This was intentional gouging due to the weather being cold and the parade closing off most of the businesses in that area. Further, the server added a bogus service fee just to get more money. Morning call is a pitiful business and should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of others. I will NEVER go here again and I encourage others to avoid them as well.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund for the hot chocolate they served which totaled $40. Morning call misrepresented themselves in this matter and took advantage of the children.
