This company sold me and others I have spoke to about this company cars that are no good and they know these cars are no goodI bought a [redacted] from this company test drive was fine but with in the first few days problems occurred I began contacting the dealer about these problems that they know was wrong with this car bit they refused to fix them or give me a different car. No the car has a cracked head and no one will talk to me or replace the car and I have called about the same issues many times with the same result to get into another car I have to give them more money when I already gave them everything I had in this car and I am a loyal paying customer. Desired SettlementI'm looking for a replacement car because they knew this car had problems and sold it any way sold it even before it was inspected. Now me a mother of 4 is left with no way to take care of my home. No way to work no way to my kids school. And I don't have any family to help me in any way. Business Response In response to case # [redacted]. [redacted] did indeed purchase a [redacted] from Mooring Automotive Group, LLC. on March 10, 2014. The car at the time of purchase had 131,026 miles on it. She did contact us about some minor problems with the car after the purchase, but none of these problems were covered under her 6 month 6,000 mile powertrain warranty. She had an opportunity to test drive this vehicle before the purchase and did so. Obviously she was satisfied with the condition of the car because she decided to purchase it. On November 3, Ms.[redacted] told us to pick the car up because it is not running, we did so and the car is now in our possession. After getting the car back here we found it now has 142,475 miles on it. That is a total of 11,449 miles driven since the date of purchase. This comes out to 48.1 miles per day, which is a little more than the industry standard of 41.09 miles per day at 15,000 miles per year. We also found the oil change sticker on the windshield was the same one that my mechanic put on the car when we had the oil changed in it at time of sale. This shows the next oil change due at 134,194 was not done nor at any other time during the almost eight months she had the car or the 11,449 miles it was driven. Ms.[redacted] wants us to give her another car due to the fact that this car has broken down. Well the sad news for Ms.[redacted] is that I, nor any other dealer in the world sell cars that do not break down. The reason for this is that the car manufacturers have yet to make a car that does not break down, as soon as someone does, I assure you that will be all I sell. Ms.[redacted] made a decision to purchase a fourteen year old car with 131,026 miles on it. If she doesn't want to pay for repairs, the only advice I have is for her to go to a new car dealership and purchase a new car that comes with a bumper to bumper warranty, and before that warranty expires to trade it for another new car.Consumer Response Yes I did test drive the car and the car did run ok at the time of the test drive but not even a week it started messing up and I came back to them then. And I tried many times to compromise with them about the car and switching it with another one. But they were unwilling to. They sold me this car without it being inspected I had to bring it back for that. So it had never even seen the shop to see if it was in good condition or if there were any problems with it. AND yes that same sticker was in the window cause I got the oil changed (on time) from a family mechanic that doesn't place the stickers in the windows. Just because the sticker says one thing doesn't mean the oil was not changed. Final Business Response In response to case # [redacted].Let me make it perfectly clear that this will be the last response to this claim. Once again, as I stated in my first response, Ms.[redacted] had this car for almost 8 months and drove it over 11,000 miles. She purchased a 14 year old car with 131,000 miles on it. She purchased a 6 month 6,000 mile powertrain warranty. None of the issues with the car where covered under the warranty. When this car was new, the manufacturer,[redacted], only issued a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty. It has no more warranty.
