Mr. D [redacted] on July 8, 2018 gave us a bid for exterior painting on our house. He required 1/3 down and we gave him a check for $825 on July 9 which was 1/3 of the $2500 bid price. He agreed to start the job on July 10, 2018 and he never showed. Likewise he never showed on July 11, 2018. At 2:10 PM on July 11 Mr. D [redacted] called and explained that he had been hospitalized for high blood sugar. We agreed to start work on Monday, July 16, 2018. He called at 11 AM on July 16 and said he would buy supplies and be at our house in early afternoon, however, he never showed. On Tuesday, July 17 we called and left message. If he wanted the job to start this week or return the deposit. Our check was cashed on July 10. There has been no contact.
