Review: In May 2015 we purchased a 2006 Ford 3/4 ton pickup from Mt.Auto Center. We dealt not only with a salesman but also with the owner of the business. They could not say enough good about the pick up. They stated they knew the gentleman who traded it in & said he took great care of the vehicle, did all maintenance & repair work that it required. We test drove it a few times & felt comfortable enough to purchase it. Less than 30 days later,& less than a thousand miles we started to have problems. The pick up overheated, we got it to a repair shop, after replacing the water pump, egr cooler, oil cooler, gaskets & misc parts, our bill was $2200.00. They also told us that the heads were bad, that they had been leaking for sometime and needed to be replaced. We took it to a diesel repair shop & indeed they needed to be replaced. After those repairs, that bill was $7,000.00, for a total of $9,200. We have spoken to Mt.Auto Center several times in hopes they would at least split this cost with us, but they were only willing to pay $1,000.00. We were happy to purchase our vehicle from a local company for we like to support local businesses but we feel we have been completely lied to about the condition of this vehicle. We hope by turning this in to the Revdex.com that you may help us to recoup more of what we had to pay just to get this vehicle up to a good running standard, which we were told it was in the first place. Thank you for your help in this matter.Desired Settlement: We would like Montana Auto Center to split this cost with us. We truly feel this is only fair. We are requesting an additional $3,600.00,for they have paid us $1,000.00 out of the $9,200.00 we have paid in repair costs.Thank you

Response:
This to address Mr. [redacted]'s concern on his 2006 Ford F250 pickup. We at Montana Auto center did feel that this Ford pickup was in good shape. We were led to believe by the previous owner that he had maintained the vehicle and had no previous problems with the Truck. When Mr. [redacted] experienced the initial problem with the vehicle, he spent $2200. Montana Auto Center stepped up and helped the [redacted]'s out with $1000.00 after the sale. Many dealers would have said it was sold As Is and we can't do anything. Mr. [redacted] came and left at least 3 times before buying this truck, we at Montana Auto Center do not pressure our customers, they are always welcome to think about the sale overnight. We also encourage all of customers to take a vehicle to their own Technician and have the vehicle inspected. We have been in business for over 20 years with many happy cus[redacted]ers, who return to do business us again and again. We feel bad that this happened. The 6.0 liter Diesel has had many problems since coming out in mid 2003, but Montana Auto Center did not design that motor, Ford Motor Company did. Thank You[redacted]Owner
