Review: I returned from vacation and found my next bill (plus late fees of $20) and sent my payment of $400.00 on March 1. It should be noted that I've called many times with questions and I get the recording that they are out of the office, but when my neighbor calls a minute later, they answer in person). A few days after I sent the rent, I was notified they were having "water problems" and I had to find friends to empty the entire 5 x 10 room instantly as I am disabled. Many of my boxes containing expensive dolls were waterlogged. I requested by phone that they return my $400 check and after several phone calls I received a check MINUS $50.00. I called and asked "Kristy" why I was docked money and she replied "I have no idea". Since then I have not been able to reach the business by phone. I get the recording. I signed no New Contract when these new owners took over. I did get a fee increase notice. The former owners used to send out reminders o 6 month fees, these people just started charging penalties and offered no explanation for the flood. I took pictures of all the damage.Desired Settlement: I will accept one day's late fee for $20 for being out-of-state, but no other fees were my fault. Considering all the damage I sustained (I have no idea and they won't say when the "water problems" began). The former owners ALWAYS answered the phone and helped renters with problems. These people just charge fees and no apologies for all the damage.
