Monkey Joe's Party & Play Center

I provided a $100 deposit to Monkey Joes on 11/1 for a birthday party. They went out of business one week later and did not refund my deposit.I provided a representative of Monkey Joe's my debit card number over the phone on 11/1 to hold a spot for a birthday party on December 19th for my daughter. The money was retrieved from my account on 11/3 and within about one week of providing the deposit I was informed by a co-worker that the business had suddenly and unexpectedly closed the previous night. I called immediately and reached someone who said they were only there to clean up and advised me to call the Raleigh Monkey Joe's, as they thought there was something worked out with them. When I called the Raleigh franchise, I was informed by a female manager that they would only be able to schedule a party for me at their location, but could not refund any money, since they are a franchise. I was told their Manager would contact me by phone on Thursday of that week. I never received a call from anyone with Monkey Joe's. I submitted an email complaint to the corporate office of Monkey Joe's on the same day and have not received any response from them either.Desired SettlementMy $100 refunded
