On 12-12-14 customer [redacted] entered into a contract with Money Mart Pawn [redacted]. Contract was an agreement to purchase a gold chain priced $2279 but discounted 15% to $1937 plus tax (contract attached #1). Mr....

[redacted] agreed to put down $75 and make 12 payments of $168 beginning on 01-02-15, with each payment due in full on the second of each month. Mr. [redacted] made the first payment late, paying on 1-16-15, and was reminded next payment was due On or before 2-2-15 (see attached #2). Second payment was due on 2-2-15 and after getting no response to attempted contact the layaway was forfeited on 2-19-15 (see attached #3) per the agreed upon contract terms. Amount forfeited per the contract was $244.  
Mr. [redacted] came to the location between 2-24 and 2-28 demanding a refund of his money. Store personnel attempted to come to an agreement with Mr. Barefield, but he refused an offer reinstating the layaway for the balance owed plus tax. Money Mart Pawn would have been willing to offer multiple choices in order to help Mr. Barefield, even though the contract clearly states we are under no obligation to do so. Mr. [redacted] was insistent that we would refund his money "or else" and at this point Mr. [redacted] became upset, cussing and threatening the staff to the point they requested he leave or they would be forced to contact the police. Mr. [redacted] left only after cussing and physically threatening the female staff on Duty. Some days after this event a female claiming to be Mr. Barefield's mother came to the location also threatening and cussing the staff and left claiming "that god would get them". 
 
Money Mart Pawn has no reason or desire to do any business transactions with Mr. [redacted] or his family based on his abusive, threatening behavior.
