Money Man Pawn & Loan

I had got a loan on an electric guitar that I had owned for almost 20 years. I was not notified by phone that instrument was put out for sale. I went into shop a day after instrument had been sold. The owner's excuse was it's been here for 3 months and I didn't know what you were going to do. This was wrong because I had just been in the pawn shop 2 weekends earlier and told him that I would be back in the next month to pick it up.The owner then offered to sale me a lesser instrument at a cheap price which I refused.Desired SettlementI feel that this was unfair.I should have been notified at least a day earlier that the instrument was to be sold. I have dealt with other pawn shops in the area and this is the only one that has not notified me that a sale was going to take place if I didn't make payment.Business Response We are a Pawn Shop operating in the state of North Carolina and we are not required to contact the owners of property that leave their pawned items past 91days. My pawn shop never notifies individuals after their merchandise legally comes out of pawn. We simply do not have the time or manpower. This individuals guitar came out of pawn and it was put on the floor for sale, it was on the floor for almost 30 days. Im sorry he did not come back for his property in time, but we followed the letter of the law....Final Consumer Response The guitar was not on the floor for 30 days. That is simply not true. The guitar supposedly came off pawn on Monday, Nov 18th 2013 and He told me put the guitar out for sale on Tuesday, Nov 19th 2013. The owner told me that it was sold within 2 hours. No it was not on the floor for 30 days. I came in the pawn shop on Nov. the 9th and the guitar was not for sale. I told him I would be back to get it. He says that there was no contact on my part which is false.
