[redacted] purchased Alvarado Hickory wood flooring on 7/23/On March 3, [redacted] contacted [redacted] to report spots on the floorWe sent an in-house installer to inspect the floor & take picturesInstaller inspected floor & and took photosWe then opened a claim with Mohawk Industries the manufacturer that warranties [redacted] 's floorMohawk required an independent inspector to look at the [redacted] floorThis inspection was performed on 4/1/by [redacted] (copy of inspection results attached) Unfortunately Mohawk Industries has denied the claimWhile [redacted] disagrees with the results of the inspection Mohawk Industries feels the problems with the floor are due to abrasion of the finish due to excessive wear [redacted] was informed that he is welcome to have a separate inspection done and if the results come back differently [redacted] would be happy to re-open his claim with Mohawk IndustriesWe have advocated for [redacted] with no successAs Mohawk Industries warranties the product it is up to them to enforce their warranty [redacted] signed a form on the day of purchase entitled "Preparing for your Flooring InstallationThis form clearly states that "All products sold by [redacted] and Flooring are warrantied by the respective manufacturers of said products." We respectfully request that this complaint be moved to Mohawk Industries and removed from [redacted] 's Revdex.com records

We picked Mowhawk Solid Oak
Flooring for my parent's new home build. The entire house is installed with it. The floor is defective. Over half of the floor has split and has huge cracks and splinters in it. It took a month for the Mohawk sales rep to call us back and now waiting again after he came out to send an inspector. They just try to give the run around and hope you give up. They will claim it is installation or humidity or something else, which it it not. They are making a defective product which they should pay to replace, including labor. My parents put over $20,000 into that floor and it is not usable. DO NOT buy Mohawk Flooring.

Review: I purchased [redacted] flooring in March of 2010 from [redacted] in Cranberry Township, Pa. from [redacted], he said it was a very high quality, suitable for the kitchen, family room, living room and hall in my home. The sample board had in bold type, 50 YEAR WARRANTY, along with the higher cost led us to believe it was indeed a better quality than many other laminates we had looked at. The papers that came along with the product states in very BOLD PRINT-NO EXCLUSIONS WARRANTY COVERS,STAINING,FADING, SCRATCHING, MOISTURE, WEAR, AND LOCKING SYSTEM. The laminate was professionally installed in the entire first floor of my home, by a contractor recommended by [redacted].The kitchen floor has numerous light scratches in several areas. The floor has not had abnormal usage, there is only my husband and myself, we wear sneakers, there is no more concentrated traffic in the affected area than any other parts of the flooring, we have NO PETS, and there has been no scratching near the Walk Off mat at the door. We have felt pads and cushioning on the chairs. When I first called [redacted] on 10/28/2013 and told ** the problem, and filed a complaint with him, he requested pictures, which I sent and he later forwarded them to Mohawk, the company that has the warranty. I had searched the internet and could not find any information about who manufactured Resista, or I would have tried contacting them directly.I was hoping to find how to avoid more scratching and to see what could be done with the ones already there... They denied my claim, R-6486662, through [redacted], dated 1/3/2014 which I did not receive until 2/25/2014. Communication had not flowed freely from [redacted] I had to contact [redacted] several times to see why I had heard nothing. Finally after calling the manager [redacted] he told then my claim was denied.Reason for denial: "Mohawk's limited warranties do not cover damage caused by heavy or concentrated foot traffic, pet claws ,or failure to protect from sand, gravel or other abrasives from a walk off mat"I wrote Mohawk a letter March 3, 2014 stating all of the above and said I was very disappointed that they could not give me the courtesy to come look at my floor, I also said if they didnt respond in a timely manner I would file a claim with the Revdex.com. More than a month has passed, and I have heard nothing.Desired Settlement: I would like someone from Mohawk to look at the floor, and see what my problem is. if it has a warranty with NO EXCLUSIONS against scratches, then they should stand behind their product.
