Modern Solutions Waterproofing

My wife and I paid to have [redacted], and[redacted] of Modern Solutions remodel our Master Bathroom, including tearing out our shower and building a walk-in shower, enclose a wall and mount a TV over our fireplace in our living room, re-lay tile in our hall bathroom, and build a breakfast bar in our kitchen. 1/2 of the contract was paid up front for materials. Modern Solutions stated that the work would be completed to our satisfaction and that since this was a custom job, our input would be needed from time to time. It has been over 2 weeks of them working (1/2 days mostly) 10 AM to 3 PM. After seeking 2nd and 3rd opinions from local contractors, the work is some of the worst craftsmanship they have ever seen in their career and the work is still yet to be completed. They have destroyed our home, left early and left our home a mess every single day, and with their quality of work - actually brought down our property value. We will have to hire someone else to come in and tear out everything they have done and redo it ALL. DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY INTO YOUR HOME. The company claims that crooked walls, un-level tile in shower and bathrooms, bowed shower walls, unevenly laid tile and grout work, uneven sheet-rock repair and the breakfast bar cracking the wall in our Kitchen is demanding perfection. No, on the contrary - it is not demanding perfection. It is simply doing good quality work. All we wanted was a good job. We have given [redacted] and his company an opportunity to come in and fix the list of our concerns, but he has declined stating we are being unreasonable and demanding full payment. AGAIN, DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY INTO YOUR HOME.Product_Or_Service: Bathroom and Home Remodel /////Desired SettlementWe want a refund of the down-payment of $2,300.00 given to Modern Solutions for materials and released of final payment due to the fact that we will have to hire someone else to fix their shoddy and unsafe workmanship done to our home. /////Business Response Modern Solutions Waterproofing, LLC has not been under contract with the complaint filed by Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] and April [redacted]. Our company has recently been established as of February 2016.The project in question was not contracted with any legal entity that [redacted] or [redacted] owned and was terminated by the complainants.
