Modern Pools

Several problems & delays. Lack of oversight by contractor ( almost nonexistent). Poor quality, poor communication, and dishonesty.
We started a pool project in January, which was to be completed in 12 weeks. We have had a problem with every single area of the build, from the pool tile, to the decking, to the pebblesheen, which is the pool bottom shell, to the outdoor kitchen. The owner of the company has been out to the job 3 times, one of which was to collect a draw. There has been no oversight of the multiple sub-contractors. Today, after 16 weeks, we were told that the Pebblesheen needs to be completely redone. This means the pull needs to be emptied, tiles removed from steps and interior and the shell has to be redone. In addition, the outdoor kitchen was installed - 2 inches off level, which resulted in the kitchen appliances having to be removed, the granite uninstalled and reinstalled ( this is the second installation because they broke a piece off the first time ) and several delays. The kitchen needs to be leveled and balanced. The owner Jordan H. responded and I quote " yeah, the sky is falling." He has not been here to review or monitor the progress of the subcontractors and that is why the work needs to continue to get redone.
In summary, the tile have been crooked and uneven , improper paver installation, incomplete pool equipment , weeks of waiting with absolutely nothing getting done, continual redo's , all the result of an unconcerned and poor management by contractor. This was a Modern Pools project that is also being completed by an affiliate Pools by Jordan. I will also be filling out a separate review on Pools by Jordan. Both pool contractors exhibit inexperience in pool building and water features.
