Review: On 9/**/13 at 10:51pm I went to see a friend of mine in Brooklyn. While I was driving in the area the light of my fuel tank went off. Being the fact that I was near the Sunoco gas station I decided to fill up my tank. I paid with my credit card, I took the receipt, I put in my wallet and I left. Yesterday I was looking at all my receipts and with my shocking surprise I discovered that the Sunoco gas station dispensed me 14.128 gallons of gasoline. How can it be possible since the full capacity of the tank for a 2004 Honda civic sedan is only 13.2 gallons? Something wrong with Pump # 4 (as per receipt). Today I had to fill up my tank back again, but I went to the gasoline station not soon after the light of the fuel went off as I did the other night, but after driving a few miles with the light off, and I was only able to put11.154 gallons.Desired Settlement: I believe that they overcharged me about at least 3 gallons of fuel @$3.899 for a total amount of $11.697.Not only I am looking to get my money back but you need to do your investigation to see if in reality something is wrong with the pump and they overcharge everybody.

Response:
We are in receipt of the complaint filed by [redacted] regarding his gasoline purchase of September **, 2013. We have checked
pump #4 and the tank and have found no problem. [redacted] stated that his
vehicle's tank holds 13.2 gallons of gas and our pump dispensed 14.128 gallons
of gas. That is a difference of .928 which is less than one gallon. Every
vehicle has reservoir from the point that the light goes on of at least one to
two gallons. This is why the pump was able to dispense the additional .928 gas
in this vehicle. Please note that the gas pumps/tanks are locked and cannot be
tampered with by anyone. They are regularly inspected by the Department of
Consumer Affairs and Sunoco. We are Sunoco Dealers and have been at this
location for over 20 years and would not jeopardize our business by
overcharging any of our customers. Our customers are very important to us.
Thank you.
