We purchased a used car from this small dealer. We were told the vehicle had recently been serviced, were given a work receipt, and told the vehicle was in good working order with no check engine lights. (Dealer proceeded to remove a code reader from the trunk.) Within 48 hours of owning the car, a check engine light came on and the car began having issues when driving. The code appeared to be regarding the work that was done, and we had to have the car towed to the salesman's recommended mechanic. They replaced a part and told us the issue was solved. During the trip home, the car issues resumed. Within a short time the engine light was back on. We brought it back to the mechanic a second time, but they pushed it back in the schedule and hadn't even moved it from the drop-off area after 3 full days. We picked the car back up and took it to a second mechanic, who told us the recently replaced parts appeared used, and informed us the car is NOT mechanically sound and not likely worth the expense to fix. We tried contacting the salesman for a refund and he is ignoring us.
