on 5/27/we sold a Land rover freelander to [redacted] He came over with his girlfriend [redacted] and they both test drove this vehicleWhen we sold this vehicle it was in excellent shape, no issues were found and no check engine light was onOn june 2nd at 2:pm we received a text from [redacted] about check engine light on and blown headgasketi told her they need to go mechanic shop to fix any issues, because they did not purchased any warranty and they bought this vehicle on AS IS basesThe head gasket could be blown on during a hard driving conditionsAfter that [redacted] sent me lots of agly messages and threatsSince this vehicle was sold, we never received any phone calls or text messages from the actual buyer [redacted] about any issuedi figured [redacted] is just trying to get some money from us again like she did from the first day they purchased this vehicleIt this reply, im sending all of the text conversation I had with [redacted] and I would like Revdex.com agent to review it
Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:I contacted the dealer when I found coolant in the oil about days after I bought the vehicleI purchased the vehicle without a warrenty that is true but I figured since it broke down within hours the dealer would be willing to at least help repair the vehicleThe dealers only response was "it was fine when I had it" My girlfriend *** probably sent nasty messages but that was because she was going through a bankruptcy and spent her last savings on this vehicleI believe this business buys cheap cars at auction and makes them "drivable" then sells them for profitI have already purchased another vehicle for her and take this as a lesson learnedI would like to just warn others of this dealer and their ways of business.Sincerely,*** ***
When the customer purchased the vehicle it took time for her to get her finances in order that is why it took a few daysShe then took the vehicle to have it inspected by a mechanic of her choice that she set upWhen she returned she proceeded to negotiate the price of the vehicle stating that it
wasn't in perfect condition but that she would agree to purchase the vehicle at a discounted price, AS IS, and would be happy to make any future repairs herselfShe then returned a week later and explained that the check engine light had come on and that we needed to repair the vehicleWe looked at the vehicle for her and could see that it appeared someone else had been working on it and that the osencors would be her responsibility to replace as that would fall under general maintenance and that they had failed under no fault of oursWe then reminded her that all future repairs would be her responsibility per her original agreement at the time of purchase
*** *** purchased a Truck from us on 11/05/but before they purchased they took the vehicle on long test drivesOnce they decided to purchase they needed to secured their financing which took about a week to doOnce that was taken care of they came back and negotiated the price down
from the asking price of $to $a little over $dollars which I needed to get approval on and did soShe then requested we replace the front left fender molding and shift knob which was missing a chrome piece on top but was still functional and that was itwe set an appointment for a little more than a week later for that and they left with the truck and they kept their appointmenta few days before their appointment her boyfriend came in and complained that the back passenger window had stopped working along with the rear lighter outlet and I told them those issues would be addressed when they brought it in for their appointmentI then called and told him that the shifter knob had come in and he decided he would take care of that himself. We paid for the part and he picked it up at the Ford dealershipThen they brought the truck in for the repair of the molding and the window to be looked at which the owner had agreed to look atThey found that a part needed to be ordered for the window repairThe part came in and it was the incorrect one so they had to order a replacement partOur shop brought the truck back to the dealership and I explained to her boyfriend what was happeningHe received the truck backWhen the part came in we made another appointment for that repair at a time that was convenient for himThe owner repaired the window and the rear lighter free of cost to the customer and brought the truck back to the dealership and I called her boy friend and he came in and I showed him the repairs and he agreed it was done to his satisfaction and he left with the vehicleAbout days later, they came back in the evening insisting we sold them the truck with metal to metal brakes and they wanted a refund for the repairI told them they should have brought the truck to us if they were having a problem with the brakes as the repair would have cost less through us then another shopWhen I told the owner of the dealership about this he agreed that they should have contacted us with this issueAfter explaining that to *** she then became very vulgar and started to threaten me and the owner saying she would post horrible reviews if we didn't do what she asked
After speaking to the customer I informed her that the repair could take a few minutes to a few hours and possibly a couple days initially for the check engine light but that I most likely would be something minor and she agreed to have her father look into the repair and I didn't hear back from her...
till 2 days ago when she texted me that her heater and defroster had stopped working and I explained to her over the phone that for that repair there may be a charge for parts and labor on the heater and defroster repair and suddenly we scammed her out of her money and we are being unreasonable. She then proceeded to face book and trash us so I then called her and explained to her that we would work with her on the cost of repair for the heater and defroster and the other stuff would be repaired free of charge and that we work something out for the other repairs but that we would most likely need to have the vehicle for more than 1 day. She refused continuing to call me a liar. After she hung up on me, I then went to face book and submitted this post for her as we still would like to help her with the repairs.
I'm sorry your unhappy now but as I explained to you over the phone today you'll need to bring the car in for at least 1 full business day and hopefully we can finish the work for you ASAP. We wont know how long the repair will take, could be a couple hours or a couple days but we would work with you on payment if there would be any charge for whatever the part may cost that we would only charge what we paid for it and install it for free. If the repair is very minor it would be done free of charge but we are willing to work with you we just need you to be a little flexible. I even offered to help you out of my own pocket free of charge because I want to help get you here and home but you refused. Sorry you feel that we are being unreasonable. You have our number, please call if you change your mind as we would still like to help you.
After speaking to the owner of the dealership I explained to him, her position on things, he told me to set up a day for her to bring in the vehicle and we would repair it free of charge and when I tried to explain that to her she refused again.
I'm at my wit's end with this customer as all we would like is for her to give us at least 2 to 3 days to finish the repairs if that much time is even needed it could be just 1 day but she refuses.

I have put in so much money on this vehicle sine I have had it. And why would anyone mess around with the wire or anything else if the vehicle was running properly. No one could see that the check engine light would come one not even an mechanic. Any one could shut off the check engine light if they wanted to to sell a vehicle even I could. Even now the vehicle is running terrible and stalled on me plenti of time. This by far is the worse purchase I have aver made and I will let peaple know not to go there.Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
