Please allow this to serve as Leggett & Platt’s response to the Complaint submitted by [redacted], ID #[redacted], regarding a L-132 Legacy L-PT NWH BR F80 adjustable bed base purchased from Craftmatic Beds on May 4, 2017 (the “Adjustable Bed”).  ...

                On or around June 8, 2017, Mr. [redacted] contacted Craftmatic to report that the Adjustable Bed was not working correctly. Per our communication from Craftmatic, Mr. [redacted]’ Adjustable Bed stopped working, and he had a friend look under the Adjustable Bed to try to resolve the issue. The friend turned on a switch, and the bed started worked again. Later, the Adjustable Bed allegedly stopped working again and Mr. [redacted] asked that his Adjustable Bed be serviced.  Leggett sent a service tech to Mr. [redacted]’ home on June 15, 2017. While a second follow-up visit was scheduled for July 10, 2017, such service was cancelled when the decision was made to replace Mr. [redacted]’ Adjustable Bed base with a new base, free of charge.   Mr. [redacted]’ receipt of a new adjustable base exceeds any warranty or other legal obligation owed to him, and was done as a good faith gesture to achieve customer satisfaction. We decline Mr. [redacted]’ request for a partial refund of the adjustable base cost.                   We appreciate Mr. [redacted] bringing this issue to our attention.
