Review: I made money deposit as requested by the compay ($4862 deposit which is in excess of 80% of the total contract cost - a high and unusual amount; but I was willing to forego), with the expectation that the company will complete the HVAC system replacement with in 1 week. 4 weeks had gone since then with several posponing schedule requests that I had received from the company; then the company admited they cannot perform the contracted work due to not being able to obtain the required work permits. The company is now telling to wait for 30 days to get the refund of my deposit money.Desired Settlement: I had demanded the company to immediately return my deposit in the form of registered check. I had waited 6 weeks (and counting) with no work result, and I feel that I don't have to wait any longer to get my deposit back, so that I can find another company to do the work.
Review: Hello. This is written detail about my experience with [redacted], owner of his company M H improvment HV/AC. I hired [redacted] in June because my air conditioner was not turning on. [redacted] came and fixed my outdoor unit the next week without any problem. After fixing the outdoor unit he then told me the indoor unit fan box/ air handler on my heat pump was not working and I would need to give him 900 dollars for him to get the part and he back to fix it. Within that next week [redacted] stated he broke his leg. For two months I was very understanding of the situation and did not bother him to come fix the indoor unit until August when I started having leaking from my indoor unit onto my basement floor, along with some other problems. When I contacted him he had excuse after excuse to when he would come to fix the unit. After trying to be understanding for two months, in September I decided enough was enough. I messaged [redacted] asking for a refund of my money. [redacted] told me he sent me a cashiers check in the mail Septemeber 25th for 900 dollars to be returned to me. I did not recieve the check after a week so I messaged [redacted] again. He then stated they returned the check back to him because the emla was wet and they could not see my address. I asked to then meet up with him to get the check and his next excuse was he was out of town for business for a week. The next week he told me the bank had his check on hold for two days then he will get me the money. Three days later I messaged him and he told me the check bounced. I still have not recieved my 900 dollars. I also had to hire a new HVAC company. The new company told me I never needed the part [redacted] said I needed and he said [redacted] had wired the unit wrong from the start which is why it was not working correctly. I had to pay another 390 to the new HVAC company to fix [redacted]s wrong work to begin with.Desired Settlement: I would like my 900 dollars returned back to me. I have proof of the contract between [redacted] and myself along with the check I gave to him dating back to June. I also have all the messages between [redacted] and I with his multiple excuses in both fixing my air conditioner and returning my money. It would also be nice to recieve the money back I had to pay for rewiring my air condition unit the right ways since [redacted] did it incorrectly, requiring me to have to hire a new HVAC business.
