Failure to repair to standard with many follow up visits and a total lack of quality controlMiniCity called me let me know my repair was done and it wasn't, which is a critical component of the operation. My front bumper was not hooked up properly. My seat belts did not work. Interior clippings left unsecure throughout the car to include the engine bay where I had to go and do it myself. Front left headlight over 1 inch off front grill. Door works on and off and shop denies responsibility. The car also have a paint defect on front bumper and a small area where paint didn't reach. Car left dirty with not even enough dignity to clean the car. The amount of repeat visits has cost me time away from work/ rental cars and a burden on friends and family to make up for my lack of transportation. I have pictures off the work and I can document the trips and conversations with Mini City AutobodyDesired SettlementI am requesting $200 for lost time from work along with a burden on friends family. This includes my $50 deductible and rental car. Mini City must also repair the car to standard or I will go to USAA to find a shop that can. Business Response /[redacted]/We have addressed the complaints of [redacted]' vehicle. The claim has been closed through his insurance company. We made several attempts to satisfy the customer to no avail. We went over and above to try to address his concerns. We provided him our company vehicle to drive and even delivered and picked up his vehicle for him. He had an issue with the door that was not related to the accident and as a courtesy, we tried to take care of this for him. Upon contacting the dealer, they stated that this is a common problem related to his vehicle. But again we went over and above what was related to his claim to help him out. I do understand his concerns that he had to return the vehicle to us, but we were always willing to help him out with any concerns. He made the decision to not bring the vehicle back to us. We have only had 1 business complaint with Revdex.com in the 25+ years we have been a part of their organization. I think this speaks for itself.Consumer Response /[redacted]/Mini city's quality of service is truly not up to industry standards. After numerous attempts trying to fix my cari noticed there was no quality control and I had to take matters into my own hands. I took my car to another repair shop that instantly recognized a lack of repair quality. After two days the second repair shop was able to address ally concerns and make the repair right. The lack of customer service and overall poor quality has led me to report Mini City and insist they not carry the USAA designation. I will continue to warn my friends and colleagues about this business and the response is very late with no sincerity. Final Business Response /[redacted]/The response was late due to us not receiving the prior notices. I understand the customers complaints and apologize that we were not able to resolve his concerns. I have spoken to him several times to try to help. I take it very personally if we have an unhappy customer. He refused to bring the vehicle back to us, so there was no way to take care of this on our end. He had a lifetime warranty with us. There's no reason to get into a back and forth battle with details as I am not going to play a blame game and point fingers back and forth. It's very unprofessional. There was miscommunication and confusion with both parties. I understand the purpose of Revdex.com is to provide resolution to these issues. But I'm not aware of what [redacted] is requesting so we can move forward. Final Consumer Response /[redacted]/(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I was unwilling to return to mini city auto body due to a lack of confidence. I got what I needed elsewhere far quicker and with higher quality. I refuse to accept any empty apology from mini city management since they have made it clear that they believe they are not at fault. I encourage others to voice their complaints in this manner so others may be more educated about their own auto claims.
Mini-City Auto Body repaired my 2015 Honda Civic front end damage. This business will be the one I use and will recommend to all that need their services. I was impressed by their shop, (bee hive of activity, multiple vehicles in the repair process), the office staff was genuinely friendly and professional. They did a super job on my car and I am extremely pleased and thankful for their help. When was the last time you received a thank you card hand signal by everyone involved in your repair?
Shop manager, Proline Trailers
I would like to thank you for the great service. I came to you with a problem that I created and.you gave me a estimate of the cost and even tested a small area to be sure it could be done. The result was great. Looks like a new hood.I was impressed with them because they cared about me. I came prepared to stay the whole day because I didn't have a ride. They offered to take me some place but I decided to just wait. She immediately called to the back and told them I was waiting so they took me immediately. The price was fair and we'll done. I strongly recommend them. It's hard to find business with good customer service. I don't know what title the person at the desk has , but she was great. They were very busy and helping me but she still acknowledged the other customers. I work with the public and I know the stresses of that. She handles it very well. No one felted ignored.
This is a unique place in that they do not honor their own estimates. I
was sent there by my insurance company, [redacted] Mini City did an
estimate, insurance sent me a check with both my and their names on it
and now, after waiting for more than two weeks they said they will NOT
fix my car for that price. Go figure out.
If after this review you still decide to go there, insist on them
sending you an email. Do not talk over the phone.
Response from the owner:
Mr. [redacted] We are sorry that you feel we would not honor the
estimate as prepared. Unfortunately, you did not want to repair your
vehicle per the estimate, you only wanted a small portion of the repair
completed. Per our contractual insurance agreement, we are obligated to
do the entire repair correctly. This is the reason we were not able to
assist you further.
Now I would like to take some time and respond to the owner's âconcernâ.
It is incorrect that I "did not want to repair my vehicle per the
estimate." You gave me an estimate for the repair of the bumper and the
fender. I choose only to repair the fender.
It is also incorrect to say âPer our contractual insurance agreement, we
are obligated to do the entire repair correctly.â I went as far as
talked to [redacted] and got an assurance from them that if any
additional repairs are needed (for something that was not discovered
during the initial assessment), they will cover it. I told you this when
we spoke over the phone.
The aftermarket bumper I had was constructed of 3/16â cold rolled steel
for maximum strength. There was only a minor damage to it. As a matter
of fact when you did an estimate you could not even see it.
Nevertheless, [redacted] agreed to replace it. Now the real question is
why did you want to replace the bumper and refused me for a service when
I said I only wanted to fix the fender?
In my case I bought a spray paint in AutoZone and you cannot even tell
that the bumper was involved in an accident.
So at the end, I firmly stick to my review! I wasted enormous amount of
time and strongly believe no one should take a vehicle to this place for
a repair.
