Review: We never received work order or estimate to sign or receipt for past work [it should have been provided]. For current work, we asked for typewritten paperwork itemizing the work; none was available when asked for. Advice given regarding future expenses were not clearly outlined; many things depended on other problems and we feel none of the work should have been done since one repair never caused the car to be safer to drive and was misleading that when the work was done that it would then be okay to drive. Steering leak fixed but now months later the steering is still unsafe. We were told it was in a bad accident and it wouldn't be worth it to fix it and that he was more knowledgeable than my son-in-law, based on that information, we feel he should have protected his own reputation and not done any work or taken any money from my son-in-law knowing that more problems were on the way. Then said he would buy as salvage, maybe, and fix the now 'slipping' tranny and resell it; resell it to who [ we were looking for a car and he never offered to us "to sell to a friend", so then to who?, we didn't think that was right]. Minh arrived at work 9 a.m. after we waited from 7 a.m. as we watched him drive up in our vehicle [it is not legal to take car home at night - the car had no insurance, if it was in an accident, there would have been no coverage, insurance was transferred to a working vehicle while this one was being worked on, driving the vehicle home without any insurance, that was not right].Desired Settlement: We would like him to comply with giving us his license number, all his shop locations and all the paperwork for previous work and current work, including itemized work orders, estimates, and receipts for work already paid, before paying for last job completed that we have not verification of.I keep asking him by text for license number and paperwork and he says that he will provide all that AFTER I pay him - no way!
