Expectation of the room very dissatisfied the room was underground it was very dirty sheets has a stain bathroom faucet leaking and the room had a bad smell in it. I and my wife automatically left the room and went to speak with a manager and complained about the room. We told him that we are very dissatisfied with the room told him everything that is wrong with the room and can not stay in that room to please give us another room, he said that he can not give us another room. My wife and I told him that we can not stay in that room with those conditions to please check us out of the resort he said he will and checked us out I asked for confirmation for the check out he gave me a print out I looked at the print out and it did not say that we are checking out just the opposite date we check in and date we checkout I told him that this does not say that we checked out he said I can't give you anything else. I called the Police and *** from *** Polece Department came and he told me he can not wright the report since it s not a crime. My wife and I are very upset with the Resort and immedieatly left the Resort. I don't think that is very professional of them to try and force the people to stay in those conditions. I would like to get a full refund back.
There is no evidence indicating the guest left the property.
The hotel was not sold out and would have moved the guest had the communication happened with the manager.
the closing manager documented this about the guest: - Room *** never
came back and picked up their keys. These guests were going to
leave immediately after checking in for undisclosed reasons. Very likely
nothing in the room.
I have reached out to them and offered a credit for a future stay.
Please close the case.
thank you
This was the response of the guest to the GENERAL MANAGER.
please close case.
Hello ***,As you are working on this case you
clearly see the reasons why my wife and I could not stay under those conditions
and we spoke to the manager and he knows everything. Since you can not give me a refund
back then will try to come back again and hopefully it we will be satisfied
with the stay. Please let me know when the resort
opens back up.Thank you for reaching out to me and
stay safe.Regards

This resort is not worth the price. The place is filthy, trash everywhere. Members come for the season for the price of one night for a family visiting. We had to switch rooms because the lock on the adjoining room was completely broken. The outside pool had a filmy substance across the top. Everything is an additional fee which is deceiving because the website makes it seem like everything is including in your stay but practically nothing is. The indoor pool looks like it hasn't been cleaned in quite some time. The "lawn games" include one corn hole and a Connect four. The one restaurant on site was closed from 5pm-8:30pm for a party, and no one let us know when we checked in! Roast marshmallows is just that if you want S’mores it’ll cost you $10.
We were given a complimentary trip to mountain top (thanks to Gia and Vinny) but if it wasn’t free it would so not be worth it (shouldn't cost more than $30 for a family). The shuttle ride is roughly 30 minutes and half of it is down a dirt road which I didn’t mind, just very bumpy. The beach was ok as well as the archery, but the lake looked like a huge metal pole was in a far end of it, not sure what it actually was. The paddle boards, canoes, and kayaks were old and dated but did the job. No way worth $150 for a family of 3. Most of the pools are on the cold or cool side except the one small pool that is next to the cliff jump. These pools should be inspected by a professional, they had leaves bugs as well as the filmy residue on top. Tennis is $48 an hour and $5 a racket per person which seemed like they never got any use. They seem to need every penny from you but don’t put any of it back into the hotel. I definitely would not recommend it.
Also, my post was deleted off their site and they blocked me from making any comments. Obviously they don’t like pleasing their customers or seeing any negative posts. I reached out to the GM, Kim, who said she would be in touch but I am still waiting.
Let me start by saying if you’re going to this hotel cancel your trip and get a refund. This place is disgusting. The moment I walked into my “clean” room there was flies and a smell that someone must have spilled a whole case of beer that wasn’t properly cleaned up. That’s just first impression.
Nobody at the front Desk besides Tracy (who is very sweet and honestly should get a raise for dealing with all her coworkers) gives a crap about how your stay is because the staff must all be under 20 years old during the day.
I called to get a vacuum and a clean set of sheets the young man who came to help (who was actually very nice but didn’t speak a work of English) smelled like he hasn’t showered in days. It was horrible.
There is a restaurant and a bar food. The restaurant is who makes the room service and it will come ice cold, takes over and hour, and as you can read in other reviews it’s some of the worst food I’ve had in my life. It’s not hard to mess up a Taylor ham egg and cheese on a roll but somehow again this staff continues to do the impossible.
Once you’re done with the food put it in the hallway like any other hotel except here it will stay there for 12 hours(probably why I’ve seen PEST CONTROL everyday I’ve been here).... not directly in-front of your door anymore they just move it down the hall around the corner and let it sit there.
While I was writing this review my wife yells “there are ants all over your children’s sneaker!!!!” Let’s add this to the laundry list of what a horrible place this is.
The bar food is decent I’ll give them that.
If it rains or thunders and lightening there is absolutely nothing for children to do here. Obviously they close the outdoor pool but they close the indoor one as well. Now I have no problem with this but my kids they do. That’s why we picked a place with an indoor pool... but wait they almost saved it with “movie night”. Moved indoor .. into a 100 degrees racketball court with a projector that does not work. In the racketball court they have a leak where the drop ceiling is falling down and a bucket is placed to catch the water ..... RIGHT NEXT TO YOU!!!
Nobody mops the hallways. Or the elevators. It is a constant puddle even when the pool is closed.
Found a whole pack of clipped cigarettes under my TV.
“Here enters the best employees in Vernon” - some how I doubt that. See pic lol this one was just for fun. What an oxymoron.
Sincerely room
On April 5th 2018 my husband and I got married and I booked a luxury king suite with a fireplace one week prior on March 30th 2018. Check in time was 4 p.m. we arrived at 5:16 p.m. . They told us our room was not ready and when our room was ready we checked into our room only to find out that it was not the room that we had paid for. I had booked this room through *** for $250. It was supposed to be a luxury king with a fireplace and they put us in a room with two queen beds, a carpet stain floor, fingerprints on the mirror, dirty tub, and spackle on a not freshly painted wall. They also charged us a $13 service fee for Wi-Fi. They tried to compensate us with $100 to use at the restaurant but because it took so long trying to figure out the room situation that it was too late to make reservations for the restaurant. So the $100 comp was useless. We were so dissatisfied that we checked out of the room 2 hours later at 7:18 p.m. Brett was the manager on duty and he did not give us any confirmation that we were checked out. I tried calling the Hotel on Saturday April 7th to speak to a manager to get our money back and they told me that there was not a manager on duty until Monday April 9th. They also said that we had checked out Friday morning which was false because we checked out two hours after we checked in on Thursday night. We would like to get our refund back along with a $13 service fee because we didn't use the service. I feel it is fraudulent to have customers pay for a room and then be put in a different room than they had paid for. Not to mention they give you the runaround when trying to get the issue resolved. It was a complete lack of customer service and they seem like they just don't care. On top of all that we had driven two hours to get there and drove 2 hours to get back home. It was a complete waste of time and they ruined our wedding day.
Dear ***,
Thank you for reaching out to us, and my sincere apologies that you were inconvenienced to a degree that ultimately you elected to leave the property early without taking advantage of the hotel or amenities for which you had paid. We do want to make every effort to make the situation right for you, and can do so in the following ways: First, we will gladly refund to you the resort services fee that was collected at the property upon arrival. This amount represents services and amenities beyond the wi-fi, but obviously, as guests who only stayed for a few hours, it would be inappropriate to charge for this given the circumstances. Second, we do want to offer you further compensation, but your prepayment through groupon makes this very challenging both for you and for us, the business. What we would like to propose as an alternative is a return two night stay in the Luxury King room and your $100 dining credit. This will allow you to enjoy the trip as originally intended and will avoid the frustration of working with groupon to attempt a refund. Please contact me directly to make the arrangements by calling *** or by emailing *** We appreciate you as a guest and look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back.
Sincerely,
Vincent S
