I received a copy of the letter you sent to our former General Manager Lorenzo ***. We feel terrible the mistake happened. We have acknowledged our mistake and acted quickly to compensate for our error. Below are details as to how we decided on compensation along with the
additional compensation we plan on sending. 1. Our mistake began at 10:30pm when their hosted bar was changed to a cash bar.2. Our mistake was recognized and corrected at 11:20pm.3. On the final Banquet Event Order the amount of people on their “extra hours premium bar package” was people.4. The per person / per hour cost for the bar package was $6.50.5. Tax on beverage is 6.1%. The mistake spanned approximately minutes. Instead of compensating for just the duration of the mistake, the decision was made to provide compensation for the remainder of the evening which totaled minutes. During the time of our mistake, we collected $in cash sales. This is how we determined compensation: (people) x (minutes of bar package cost) = $1,x 6.1% (tax) = $1,655.16 PLUS Our manager on duty wrote a personal check of $returning the cash collected plus some. The club was not in favor of this (the club wanted to pay it…and will) but it was very important to her so I allowed it. Both checkss were mailed on Friday August 5th. On September 6th the President of our club had a conversation with Mrs***’s daughter. After the conversation our President requested an additional $of compensation be sent to Mrs***. I have agreed to this additional payment and we are in the process of sending her the check along with a card expressing our apology. In total Mrs*** will be compensated $2,505.16. Again, we are very sorry for our mistake and have expressed this to Mrs*** and her daughter. Sincerely, Paul

The people giving Paul this information were the ones responsible for taking incorrect notes to begin with regarding the open bar and contract in generalWhy should one believe that their notes are correct this time based on the monumental mistake beforeGretchen (manager on duty) expressed that the amount was guestsThis number was discussed with Paul over the phone previouslyThere was a 20% bar gratuity that was not refunded in addition to the sales taxWe did not accept Gretchen's (manager on duty) personal checkIt is not right for employees to be covering mistakes for the companyThis was mentioned to Paul and David numerous times over the phoneDavid also stated recently that we should NOT cash Gretchen's personal checkIt is Sept 19th...and no further progress has been madeThey apparently planned on September 6th that they would be sending $which has not been received yet or even agreed uponThey still owe us more than $just to cover their errorThe bar was closed for minutes and they are talking about giving us a minute refund, but that has been in discussion since July 30th (night of the wedding)minutes of extra compensation is an insult for ruining a valuable part of the evening for over peopleI refuse to believe that Paul, nor David would be happy with this compensation based on how important the evening was for our family and friendsA full hours of compensation would be acceptable and this has been expressed to them for nearly months nowOverall this experience has been extremely aggravating and Paul has been terrible to work withFrom the argumentative attitude and childish behavior on the phone it is starting to feel like they do not even want to resolve the issue
