Mr. Jason M the owner of "Miller's Pool and Spa" and my self entered into a verbal contract on or about Aug. 2018. Mr. M was compensated in advance and throughout the construction, to build a 35'x 16' 2 car carport with a center portion used as a storage shed with a full concrete foundation and a 6' wooden privacy fence around perimeter of rear property including an access gate and privacy fencing across the front of the property (street side). Mr. Jason M received a total of $7700 in checks, (1)- 1998 *** Motor home valued at $20,000 and $800 in cash from registered home owner and $1100 in cash from myself. Mr. M never completed the job, never pulled any permits, poorly erected the portion of the job he did complete and caused for an additional $10,000 expense to have the job completed. This faulty construction which has also caused for more issues since the entirety of the building he erected was not up to any code and the city inspector has now condemned it and is forcing me to have it deconstructed and reconstructed at code, which is going to now cost an additional $11k. I have notified the ***, The City Planner, The secretary of state and the Attorney Generals office of this ongoing situation to which Mr. M has never made restitution, never offered even as much as an apology. Mr. M continues to do construction jobs for unsuspecting customers who do not know he is not registered as a licensed contractor and as far as the Division of Labor here in WV has discovered does not even look to be a Licensed company. Please help me to prevent any other individuals from being done this way by Mr. M and Millers Pool and Spa. I have copies of the cancelled checks, can obtain a statement from the homes registered owner for the payment of the cash payment and supporting documents including text messages from Mr. M where he acknowledges the failure and becomes hostile and argumentative.
