I just received your letter today regarding...

Mr. [redacted] and his discrepancy. 
 
After researching this matter, I see that he was originally charged $ 36.14 for Invoice # [redacted]-00.  Our office was working on this and Credit Memo [redacted] was issued for $ 32.15 and credited back to his credit card.  I am uncertain of where the $ 37.40 amount came from but we are willing to credit the additional $ 3.99 to make up the difference of the original charge for his inconvenience.
 
I have attached a copy of Invoice # [redacted]-00 along with credit card receipt and Credit Memo 660794-00 and receipt.
 
Please advise how to proceed.  We value our customers and BFG strives for perfection in customer satisfaction.
