Review: The store owner of Mill Ridge Gifts assured me that he had ordered a product which I wanted to purchase, and it should arrive to the store on or around June 21, 2013. He placed my name and telephone number on his list of customers to be called when the product arrived. The product in question is a "Cat's Meow" replica of Amherst County High School. The store owner told me that there was no guarantee that the product would be in by the date stated. I had expressed concern that I was preparing to move out of state, and the store owner told me not to worry, because he could take my credit card number over the phone and ship the product to my new address once it arrived. I checked back with Mill Ridge Gifts several times over the course of the past few months. The owner is never available, has never returned one phone call, and the other store sales people have conveyed that they no nothing about any order of the product I was told should be in and available for purchase. This was meant to be a gift for my daughter's high school graduation, and it has become clear to me the the owner of Mill Ridge Gifts lied about having placed the order for the product, strung me along into believing it was on it's way, and most likely never had any intention of ordering the product to begin with. He is not a man of integrity and his business practices are shameful. and unethical.Desired Settlement: Cancel the order and an apology

Response:
No money exchanged hands. We are unable to get the product. The order was never placed as there were not enough requests for the item.

Response:
My rejection is due to the fact that the business owner told me personally that he ordered the item in question and when it came in he would call me, and I would purchase it at that time. He NEVER informed me that he would ONLY order the item if enough other people also wanted it. The owner knew I was moving and was counting on buying it (because I told him so), and he strung me along for months waiting for an item to arrive, based on the lie he told me that he had ordered it and it should be in his store at any time, all the while he had never placed the order to begin with.
