I called to have an issue with my garage door not raising when the weather drops below freezing fixed The gentleman who showed up insisted he knew what the problem was (the sensors which stop the door from lowering if something is in the way) were old and bad since both were lit green and needed to be replaced He kept saying, "I know I'm right Google it!" several times When I asked how the cold weather could affect the door related to the sensors he said he didn't know, but he was sure this was the issue
He replaced the sensors and before he left wanted to charge me $to install a new roller wheel since one of mine is rusted This is what I told him might be the issue in the first place I didn't let him do that I wanted to see if his repair worked
The next morning the problem was still there When I Googled his repair, the manufacturer web site stated both sensor lights should be green in the older sensors
