Milgard Windows and Doors

On March 1, 2017 a request for service was made (case #04408069) to repair French door handle, replace French door glass and dividers. My complaint is with Milgard's Customer Service group. The Service techs are excellent, the windows are great! It took about 8 months to schedule service. Several times the date was cancelled, other times there were not enough Techs, tools needed were broken or not brought to the site. Our request to do our work first was not honored, the Service Manager would not return our calls, Customer Service ignored all of our pleas for better service.

Review: I have all Milgard windows and doors in this house I purchased in 2000 and on one sliding door the seal has failed all the way around. All other windows and doors are fine. When I asked about the lifetime warranty I was told to read the fine print and since I'm not the original owner I was told "..this would not be a warranty due to it is a lifetime warranty to the original homeowner only at this time and is non-transferable".This is ridiculous as homes change hands many times making this 'lifetime warranty' a pretty safe bet that they won't be replacing many windows or doors.Desired Settlement: I would please like a replacement door.

Review: Full warranty in windows per condo building. Millard claiming they have changed terms and therefore will not service broken window. Stated they would send out replacement parts at no charge but it's been over 2 weeks of bus days and still nothing. Called several times to just get transferred, put on hold then hung up on.Desired Settlement: For M[redacted] to recognize their continuous faults in customer service which is clearly all over the Internet and complete a purchase order per the terms agreed upon. Rather it be expedited now that I have no window in my living room for weeks now.
