received a collection notice from a 3rd party collection agency. had NO prior contact from Milford that a debt was owed. Have just received notice from a collection agency that I owe a debt from LAST [redacted] 2014. Had NO prior contact from the debtor Milford that any money was owed. I work in collections and this is extremely upsetting and unprofessional to just put someone in collections w/out notifying them of their debt!!!Desired SettlementI want this debt mark wiped off my credit report as I was not notified that we owed any debt to this company ahead of time.Business Response Patient states no prior contact from MRMC - per review of account. MRMC does contract with an outside billing office that made attempts to contact the patient. The patient had received 4 letters and 6 messages were left for patient. Patient did make payments on their account on 3 different occasions [redacted] & [redacted] at this point there was still a balance of [redacted] which was transferred to our collection agency. Patient also states that she would like this debt mark off of her credit report. Milford Regional Medical Center did send this account to the collection agency however, we did not report this to any credit bureau nor will we. This bill should not be showing on Ms. [redacted]'s credit report.Thank you,[redacted]Milford Regional Medical CenterXXX-XXX-XXXX[redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Patient has no knowledge of receiving any of the above correspondence that MRMC is speaking of. And no phone messages either. Pt would like copies of past correspondence sent to her for her financial records.
