In August 2013, MILestONe Music Laboratory [redacted] & I entered a contract for him to produce a 10-track CD music recording. Mr. [redacted] required a $500 deposit before the project & monthly payments of $250 until the project was paid in full. The project was PIF ($1800) in February 2014. We partially completed six songs. However, for more than a year (since June 2015), I have contacted Mr. [redacted] to ask questions & discuss the next steps for the project, & he has not complied with my requests to talk with him. Social media has been the most effective method of reaching Mr. [redacted], as I have tried unsuccessfully to reach him by phone for several months. Accordingly, I messaged him via [redacted] on: ? June 13, 2015? July 28, 2015? November 8, 2015? February 27, 2016Three of the four times, he said he would follow up with me, but he did not. I waited a month or more each time. On April 4, 2016, I called Mr. [redacted] twice at [redacted]; the calls were not answered & there was no voicemail box set up. On April 6, Mr. [redacted] messaged me on **, promising to reach out that week. He did not.On June 3, I mailed a letter detailing the above concerns & again requesting a meeting to discuss the next steps for the project. I mailed the letter to [redacted] where the recordings occurred. I also sent my concerns to [redacted] private messenger. I also wrote that if my request for a meeting was not scheduled by June 9, I would move forward in pursuit of a resolution. Mr. [redacted] messaged me on ** on Saturday, June 18, & we scheduled a call for Wednesday, June 22. Instead, he called June 23 and left a message. I called him back two minutes later, & he did not answer; his voicemail was still not set up for me to leave a message. He texted, stating that he was on another phone call; he then messaged me on **, stating he would ?call (me) today soon.? Mr. [redacted] did not?and has not as of the date of this filing (July 26).Desired SettlementI wish to cancel the contract and be refunded the cost of the project, $1800. For more than a year, Mr. [redacted] has not complied with my requests to speak with him. Given the ongoing lack of communication and cooperation, I do not have confidence that this project can or will be completed successfully.
