Miss ***'s vehicle was brought in with multiple concerns on March 28, The concerns discussed when the customer dropped off the vehicle were as followed: Noise with A/C on, vibration while driving and check engine lamp present At the time the vehicle was diagnosed by our senior
technician finding several concerns: The check engine light was for a small evaporation leak and no repairs were needed at the time Cleared out the light, test drove and the light did not return Found that the U-Joint in the rear drive shaft was bad and not serviceable Drive shaft is currently on back order from the supplier, so the bad part was removed with plans of replacing the new part when it arrived At no time was the safety of the vehicle compromised with the bad part (unservicable) was removed Customer was made aware and advised why we recommended keeping the bad part out until the new part arrived Customer was also advised that the vibration issue will not be resolved without replacing the drive shaft Customer was made aware of the other issues while performing the multi-point inspection and chose to complete those repairs as well while vehicle was in the shop Those repairs include oil and filter change, warranty campaign, oil cooler seal, drive belts and spark plugs Customer was called when repairs were completed and we left rear drive out per her option as it was causing a bad vibration Customer picked up the vehicle and signed for repairs understanding that the drive shaft was still on back order Customer had vehicle towed in stating it would not start three weeks later on April 13, Found vehicle to have been possibly flooded Tested batter voltage, fuel input, started car multiple times and no other problems were found at that time Released vehicle back to the customer that evening at no charge Customer returned April 15, with the check engine lamp on We took the vehicle straight to the shop, hooked it up to the computer and found a code (P0171) which is a lean fuel code Cleared codes from the system and retested with no codes returning at that time Advised customer it could have been caused from the flooded vehicle on previous visit Released vehicle back to the customer that evening at no charge Customer returned April 18, with a sporadic noise coming from the blower motor and more noise coming from the right front axle Customer declined further repairs at this time Customer made Service Department and General Manager aware of the fact that this vehicle had previously been in a body shop and had the right front axle replaced at that time The General Manager offered to assist in the additional needed repairs and customer declined requesting that we install her bad rear drive shaft and return her vehicle which was done at no charge At this time, the General Manager and the Service Department feel that everything was done in a professional manner and did everything possible to resolve the issue other then refunding the money for services performed Respectfully
To Whom It May Concern, Ms. [redacted] purchased a vehicle on 11/28/2017. She is correct that she did experience a faulty battery at the time she purchased the vehicle and we took action and towed it to our place of business and replaced the battery at no charge to the customer. There...
are times that a vehicle will sit on lot for an extended period of time that although the battery does test good at inspection can become faulty due to not be started for several days. Ms. [redacted] also purchased a warranty with the vehicle on 11/28/2017 to help protect her against mechanical failure to the vehicle. Unfortunately, the issue with the vehicle which is at Andy Mohr Speedway Chevrolet was not covered under warranty. I spoke to Ms. [redacted] for an extended period of time on 1/9/2017 and did offer assistance on the repair of the vehicle out of goodwill. She was offered $300 towards the repair of the vehicle which she has accepted and provided Andy Mohr Speedway Chevrolet the verbal approval to repair the vehicle. I am providing assistance in getting the vehicle repaired out of goodwill and due to the vehicle being purchased more then 30 days ago I informed her that she will be responsible for the remainder of bill. Respectfully, Michael H[redacted] - General Manager Andy Mohr Nissan.
