Review: Purchased 4 new Cooper Tires on 6/9/15. After purchase and balancing the car had a shimmy. Took the car back twice and they balanced again. When the issue was not resolved I suggested it must be the tires and asked them to order replacement tires. I was told it must be my rims and dismissed.
I've since taken my car to Diamond Town Tire Pros and they balanced all for tires for $25 each. Every tire was out of balance one even .270 out with used weights! The ride is perfect now, and Diamond Town even printed a rebate for $70 for the Cooper Tires which Mike's failed to even offer.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the $100 I am out of pocket to have the tires correctly balanced. This refund does not take into account for my gas and time. Travel for this problem required an additional 120 miles of travel.

Response:
I'm writing in response to your letter pertaining to Mr. [redacted].This customer did purchase 4 new tires from us. He did return to our business a few days later to say he had a "shimmy" in the front end of his vehicle. Our technician noticed some loose front end parts. This is usually due to lack of maintenance. Upon letting Mr. [redacted] know the situation he demanded it was a tire problem and "told us" to replace it at no cost to him. We told him it was not possible to replace it because the tire was good. His problem was in the front end of his car. He was very rude and very adamant that "we were going to replace the tire" Iexplained (nicely) to Mr. [redacted] that ifIwere to return the tire; the manufacturer would not replace it because it was a good tire and it would not solve his problem. To keep Mr. [redacted] happy Itold him Icould try for the adjustment, however; our policy is to lend a tire to the customer until manufacturer returned its verdict on the tire in question. He said he did not have time for that, he was leaving that evening for North Carolina. Per Mr. [redacted]s request we rebalanced his tires and told him we would not guarantee that would solve his problem and that if he would like us to fix the front end we would be more than happy to give him a price on the work. He left that day and we've herd nothing from him until now. Please let it be known that Diamond Town Tire does not charge $25 to balance tires. They have set prices for balancing and also have daily specials. After talking to the owner of Diamond Town Tire myself,Ihave come to the conclusion that Mr. [redacted] not only lied about his tires being balanced there, he also lied about receiving a rebate offer on the tires he purchased from us because there was no rebate offered for that tire at that time. Iam enclosing the rebate offers for the tires for that month, along with the purchase order for his tires. In closing I would like to say that we at Mike's Truck Tire have many, many, satisfied customers and we go out of our way to keep our customers safe and happy. Unfortunately there are always going to be people like Mr. [redacted] who will not listen because they are just hard headed and know WAY more than people who have been working in theindustry for 25 years ..........I just wish there were a public forum for small businesses to put "bad customers" names out there to warn others.
Review: I called Mike's Truck Tire, Inc. to see if I was able to obtain warranty information on my tires which I bought in April 2012. The owner [redacted] was rude, disrepectful from the moment she returned my call. She didn't feel she needed to contact a customer with questions or concerns about tires. I told her my tires were cupping and wanted to know the warranty on the tires and that I was told by a local dealer where I purchased my car from told me it was due to the type of tire. I wanted to see if the manufacturer would be able to compensate and assit with replacing them or providing me with more information on them. I tried repeatly to explain what the dealership told me and she proceed to call my a [redacted] She told me a one of those customers that purchase the cheapest tires around and them want to complain about them and the reason they are cupping is because I don't have the correct wheels or tire sizes on my car. I explained to her I purchased the car brand new off the lot in 2008 and the tires and wheels were the original ones on the car and she proceeded to scream at me and curse at me and then threatened me to come to her shop so she could "teach me a lesson". I told her she was being ignorant and unprofessional and she started telling me that she has been changing tires probably long before I was [redacted].She had customers in the store the entire time she was ranting and threatening me over the phone.I still have not been able to get the warranty information that I requested and wanted to have the problem fixed as the dealership told me it is not a suspension problem but a tire problem and I should get it fixed before it causes damage to my vehicle.Desired Settlement: I would like this business to be reported and investigated and I would like to have my warrantly information provided as to have my vehicle fixed. I also would like to know that customers can go to a local business and not be threatened over the phone by the owner of the company or cussed out because they question what she has told them.
