Mike's Appliance Repair

I called Mike"s Appliance for repair on my Maytag Dryer cause the Water connection was stripped. He inform me that the part was a hole unit and it would cost $135.00, the service charge was $35.00. When he arrived and checked the damage he stated that he could fix with teflon tape. he then connected the water hose and checked for leaks. it was fine. I ask how much I owed him and he stated that his labor was $215.00 Plus the service charge of $35.00 the total $250.00 I paid with check and he ask me not to put the name on the Pay to order and leave oit blank. he did not give me a receipt and left.I informed my wife and she called him to ask why the price was so high for wrapping tape and connecting the water hode. He told my wife that I did not argue with him.
after sleeping on it and told by other friends that why no receipt and no replacement of part I decided to place a stop payment on the check. I have his Business card with Phone number but no address. I believe he took advantage of me.
