Mike Merritt's Heating & A/C Inc.

When I first called Merritt H&A the service tech came out and looked over the outside unit. Put the pressure gauges on the unit and said that it was the inside TXV. The tech left without even looking at the inside unit and noticing that the air handler had no TXV, only the outside unit had one. He took down the details of the outside unit and said he would research it and get me a quote on a part.He charged me $116.00. He called the next day and said he could not get any info on the unit that it was obsolete and asked me to do some checking. I did and found that the unit was not obsolete he just had to do a little more calling around. So I call him back and he comes back out to my house and cleans out the lines. It was successful at for about 2 hours (1 cycle). something that should have been looked at the first time. He charged me $253.00. The AC unit quit blowing cold air. I called him the next day and he said that there was nothing he could do, that I needed to replace the unit. I called the main office and they said that they would conduct a recall service later that day. The same tech came out and said he could not do anything for me and promptly left.
