This is the parent company for a Knoxville, TN radio station 95.7 the X. On May 7th 2015 the company, without warning fired their employees and took the only modern rock station off the air. It was switched to oldies country. There was no notice to the fans or staff and there was no explanation as to why we were suddenly hearing country music. Their website just said it's been a great ride. Nothing more. They could not even be bothered to let us know what was going on. The media was able to find out that the company had conducted research for a year and decided to make the switch. They knew for a year but couldn't be bothered to tell their fans or employees? Some fans have been fans for nearly 20 years. They handled this very poorly with zero regards to those who have supported them for a very long time. Do not trust this company. They do not care about their customers or their staff. They proved this on the 7th. They left a lot of very loyal fans standing in the dark. They were also huge supporters of local rockers. They left them in the dust. They were the city's only connection to new rock and our only tires to major bands. They turned their backs on them and now knoxville will not have a drawl for those bands. Everything they did was terrible, unprofessional and has a direct negative impact on the local economy. This company is not to be trusted as they have shown to be willing to do this to anyone of us without even the need of advanced warning or concern for those who have long supported their company. They did it once and they will do it again if the idea fancies them.
