Midlothian Family Dentistry

In December of 2017, I was evaluated by Dr. *** for mouth appliance used for sleep apnea. After the evaluation, the Dr. mentioned that I'm a good candidate for using the appliance and if for any reason it doesn't work for me, I will receive a full refund minus the cost of the appliance, which is about $***. After using the appliance for about 6 weeks and a visit to the Sleep Dr, it became clear that the appliance was not helping me. On February 17, 2018, I had a follow-up visit with Dr. ***. I informed him that the appliance was not helping my sleep apnea and causing me pain in my jaw muscles. The Dr. agreed to refund the $*** minus the cost of the appliance. I waited two weeks for the refund, but no refund or even a call from the Dentist office. I called to check, and that is when the run around started. I got all kinds of excuses for the delay. The Dr. is on vacation. The Accounts Manager is not in the office or with another client. Finally, after about three weeks, the Accounts Manager called me to tell me that the Dr. will refund $*** only. I asked to explain the $*** charge, she said I'm only the Messinger, "Lee" can answer this question, and she'll have him call me. Needless to say, Lee never called. On 4/ 2/2018, called to speak to Lee but, of course, he was busy. I left him a voice message requesting an itemized bill for the excessive charge. I did not get any calls or any explanation of the charge. I'm extremely disappointed with the practice and with Dr. ***. You would never guess he would be this manipulative.
