Review: I registered for two classes on 4/30/2015-ESL 073 and ESL 075 and ESL 074. ESL 075 was cancelled due to lack of students. I visited the school and informed the ESL advisor that I wanted both to be dropped and I would take them in the Fall of 2015. Unfortunately the advisor mistakenly dropped only ESL 075. When I got a partial refund I went back to the college and found that ESL 074 had not been dropped. I dropped that class immediately so as not to get a failing grade and indicated that it was supposed to have already been dropped. I was asked to file an appeal to receive the balance of my payment and the letter dated 6/25 from the Tuition Appeals Committee recites that the ESL 074 class was not dropped in a timely manner. No mention is made of the error made by the ESL advisor. The error is apparent in that she filled out a fall 2015 worksheet with both classes listed. Why would she do this if she did not drop them both? I spoke with the advisor and she said there was a communication issue. This is not true. There was a mistake made by the ESL advisor and the school wants to keep $607. to penalize me for an error I did not make. If I had English skills perhaps I would have spotted the error earlier. But if I had English skills I would not be registering for ESL courses. For the record, my husband is assisting me with this complaint. My English is not adequate for explaining the circumstances surrounding this complaint.Desired Settlement: Return my $607.
