On Wednesday 24th of May *** *** *** came to our repair facility to complete his first annual Pennsylvania Vehicle Safety InspectionAfter evaluation of the vehicle for inspection, we made *** *** aware that he would need rear brake rotors to pass Safety inspection, due to heavy
pitting and rot also due to poor pad and rotor Contact which effects stopping ability, (Vehicle Equipment And inspection Regulations - Section FSubSection / Section Sub Section W)We also recommended replacement of rear brake pads at this timeWe brought *** *** out to his vehicle to visually explain why the Vehicle FailedOther than the rear brake rotors all other items that are checked for the annual inspection passedAfter informing *** *** about his failure for inspection, he became upset and he asked us not to continue with service, he then instructed us put his vehicle back togetherWe also explained to *** *** that he was welcome to take his vehicle to any other repair facility to have work completedAfter repairs are made he can return for a Safety Sticker, *** *** was informed that he did indeed pass the Emissions inspection but would not Pass the Safety Inspection without this repairWe proceeded to put his vehicle back together and park it out front of the office as per his requestDuring the checkout process, *** *** proceeded to become agitated that he was not going to receive a Safety Inspection StickerWe politely explained several times what was needed for inspection and what was recommended, after several minutes *** *** said pull my vehicle back in and replace my rear brake pads and rear brake rotors so he would be able to leave with a Safety Sticker*** *** was able to See the entire repair and was also shown his old and new parts side by side and was informed once again why the rotors failed and the brake pads where recommendedAt no time did *** *** ask us to keep or give him his old parts, after the repair was completed we proceeded to recycle them as required by our local TownshipWe issued a safety inspection sticker and thanked *** *** for doing business with us.Sincerely,Jim L*** * *** *** ** *** ***
