I was invited to this complex by a tenant for her 5 year olds birthday party. Sometime shortly later, I left the party with my 2 and 10 year old to head home and to my dismay, my car was gone. Initially I thought it had been stolen, but some to find out it was towed. After walking the whole parking lot, I finally located a towing sign attached to the far end of the buding, that only stated that unauthorized or illegal vehicles will be towed. There was no signage stating that the property is private and/or parking prohibited, nothing to warn me not to park here. I contacted the towing company and they stated that yes, they just picked my car up and I had to take my issue up with the complex in the morning because they have a contract. I called the apartments and explained the situation and was informed that after 6PM, its tenant only parking. I asked the woman how anyone was supposed to know that if no signs were posted and she told me it's the tenants responsibility to inform people. I told her I was not informed and I had no idea and she told me that's too bad, this happens all the time and I have to pay to get the car out. She was extremely rude and said they aren't required to post signs. This is completely ridiculous.
